The car looks great! I can imagine how excited you are to get in it and drive. Just be careful with all that power...you want to gradually get used to it...you don't want to leave skidmarks on those white leather seats!!!

Gorgeous car! You have a live-in seat cleaner?

Lol... too funny bro! I'm wondering if the difference is night and day between the 65 and 55??

These videos were done with a tuned (540rwhp with 91 octane gas) 2006 (W215) CL65 and a stock CLS55. The W216 (2008-Present) is a little heavier, but I think the newer body style has better cooling ability due to the larger front radiator opening. This should give you some idea of the fun to be had with your new toy.

BTW, night and day can be measured:

55 engine torque: 369 ft-lbs at 1,500 rpm; 479 at 2,000 rpm
65 engine torque: 612 ft-lbs at 1,500 rpm; 738 at 2,000 rpm

It's the amazing torque at low revs that defines the unique driving experience. The 65 engine puts out 420 ft-lbs at 1,000 rpm! That's just off idle.

Those pictures are fantastic. Will you be applying a clear-bra to this vehicle?

Man, that is some crazy #'s. I test drove a 06 CL65 and SL65 but I didn't really get on it. I also test drove the CL63 but had to step up to the 65.

I'm sure that I will be giving up some road handling but the passing power will be worth the trade off.

You will certainly get PLENTY of attention!! Hope you don't have kids, I
wouldn't even let my wife sit in it. Buy some seat covers, you never know when you might need them!!

Bellaire! We're practically neighbors...

I am a little afraid to see your car, since my lease ends in 3 months...you might make me want to trade up! ;-)
