S63,1600 miles now, hard driving from day one (no breaking in for me).
Overall very happy with the performance although just a tiny bit sorry for not getting the S65.
The V12 has only a bit higher torque (while heavier) but that torque is available almost from the get go while the V8 TT has to be winded up a bit more.
Also,no real mods to speak of yet available, while the 65 series has the whole shebang ready for it.

Short but good report, thanks for chiming in. If I remember correctly you specced the performance pack, I'm assuming in a straight line it must be a match for a stock S65? Is there less lag with this new engine than with the 65s? I owned an SL for a very short time (until it was totaled while parked) and loved the free way power but found it VERY nose heavy and missed the response I'm accustomed to with the naturally aspirated engines I normally end up with. Thanks in advance if you get the time to offer further insight.

S63 Coupe and GLES 63
i finally got on it but its winter in Chicago and with the snow tires it rocked and rolled. I took it out of C and went into S and stepped on it and it roared the turbos blew open quickly and she just wanted to go and go but i ran out of roadway. Friday i have to take a trip to the burbs and on the tollway there is a giant sweep where i hit 150 with summer tires, but with winter i have to keep speed down and it is going to be 7 degrees for the high. I do want to open up the turbos a bit. I will report back on Saturday.

I have Sottozeros and they are good at speed too.
Had it up to 180 the other night at 4am (expressway in "Mexico"),tried to hit the limiter but ran out of space.
Nstar:
Yes,I have the PP and I suspect the measured acceleration must be very similar to S65 but it doesn't hit you over the head with it's performance like the V12 does.
Peak torque coming at higher revs helps with the traction though, especially in these conditions.

Also i see 20.6 mpg on the highway driving in the 80-95 mph range, in the city i am getting between 16 and 14 mpg. My 2008 Cl 63 would get 8-10 in the city so this new motor is really fuel efficient.

Car does not have 1k miles yet and once i hit the 1k i can hammer, Right now it really rocks even in c which gets you started in 2d gear. I love this car its as smooth as my old 2002 Cl 600 which was just as quiet
did your heated wood/premium lather steering come with aluminum shift paddles?

Nice car, but in my opinion I think led fog lights are corny and the rear reverse light relocation looks very honda accordish. The reverse light was fine where it was before.

This ride is nasty n nice

I've gotten my 11 CL 63 AMG up to 140'S already.. Doesn't require much road to get up there.. This thing is a rocket and a beauty all in one. Oh yeah a smokey pulled me over at 90 and luckily let me go with a warning.. Even he admitted "this thing probably doesn't even seem like its moving at 90 mph". Lucky for me he appreciated the special ride/guy he pulled over LOL.
