Has Anyone Tried this Yet?

I've just upgraded 'almost' every interior light on my CL. Has anybody tried this? The difference is AMAZING for a $10 LED bulb. I've attached a picture that shows what I mean.

Might seem like a gigantic waste of money but I love it the car glows white everytime I open the door/unlock the car and it attracts a lot of attention!

Will post more pics soon.

from a shop over at San Gabriel Valley called JLC Lighting. They do amazing work! I got my OEM headlights upgraded to 6k, LED side markers, and 6k HID fogs done there as well.

there should be a mandatory fine for everybody that plugs hids in their fog lights.

the fog projectors are wide angle and hids will blind oncoming drivers. not to mention that the higher the kelvins the less penetration and more air particle reflection in foggy conditions.

however, the reading lights look very very cool.

Sorry, but I will have to disagree with you. Driving around LA, you will see MANY people with HID fogs...and I've never been blinded by them, or been bright/annoying enough for me to even notice...I'm curious sir, what makes you say that? Lifted trucks with HID's do however, bug the crap out of me.

Blinding people with my headlights was an issue when I first installed them so I had em adjusted accordingly. Hopefully, it won't be a problem for other drivers...

As for the weather, we rarely, if ever, see fog around here so it won't be too troublesome

Thank's for your input!

There is. It's illegal to run HID fogs in the OEM projector for the reason you posted. You can find more information here, from a respected lighting expert:
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html

The problem with an HID retrofit is that most OEM halogen housings are designed to basically throw light everywhere. HIDs are way too bright for that. They require a projector with a cutoff or a properly designed reflector housing to aim the light low enough to not blind other drivers. If you just throw an HID bulb into a OEM halogen fog light housing, you are throwing light in people's faces. Unless you replace the housing with a HID designed projector with a cutoff, you are going to have this problem and it is both dangerous and illegal. I'm going to assume that any HID fog light kit will be of the rebased bulb in a halogen housing design, hence every kit will be illegal.

I can tell you that women do not like bright lights near mirrors. lol So if you date or are married, I would not do this mod. Most women like soft light and things that do not show blemishes.

where did you bought your hid kit?

im new to this forum. i want to buy a kit for me c230 2008 but i dont really know on what website to buy it. Ive heard that i can only put the canbus ballast hid kit since it have built in warning canceller and anti-flickering. My friend recommend me www.xenonhidconversionkit.com cause they sell the hid conversion kit with the canbus ballast. I read on other forum that i can only install canbus ballast.
Im a bit lost. Please people, respond to my question.

How does 6000K headlights look on this car? Would you recommend it over stock?
