To get the best CL is often at the dealer from a lease turn in.
If I were you, I would walk on this. Its been passed around the country once too many times.

thank you- you made me laugh...

the car is under warranty. go drive it and if you like it- bargain your best price and either get it or move on. you are sweating things you do not understand and frankly i dont think anybody does. i have seen pristine 5-owner cars that have been registered in 15 states and junk 1-owner cars that has never been at the dealer for repairs.

however, the "one owner therefore excellent quality of vehicle" moniker statistically is a toss.
in other words if a car has 5 owners there is a better chance that the car is subpar. however, "one owner" vehicles have a split chance of being good or bad.
also, a dirty (crashed) carfax might be a good or a bad thing too. imagine a car with dirty carfax that shows the accident dating 2 months back. good? bad? prolly bad.
on the same toke imagine carfax showing a crash 20k miles ago on a 40k car. good? bad? most likely good (assuming no frame damage) as that means parts (that have been worn out) are replaced and if repair is done by a dealership- chances are the car is in better shape than before the crash.
so... all is relative. i always check cars myself whenever i can as history is... a guideline, but more often than not a double-edged sword...

This is the market that I look at. If it cost me a little extra so be it. Peace of mind from a reputable dealer is worth it. I just picked up a 2 year old SUV lease return with 11K miles on it from the dealer. What a joy to find something so new like this from a reputable dealer. Well kept in a garage, with a good service history and still has the new car smell.
I got my CLS 55 (super clean and I do not mean waxed) as a dealer exec car with 1200 mi and saved over $15k. At the time, this was a great deal.
I even bought from the auction thru a broker at auction price plus $1000. Still, do not know what you really get until you have it for some time. So far no problems, but it's been around the block a couple of times from the looks of the undercarriage.
At the end of the day, it remains- Buyer Beware. Hopefully no duds on pre-owned cars.
