Starless grill on my CL

I got a new grill for my CL. I just couldn't stand that gigantic star in the middle of my grill. Yes, I know the car is filthy in the pictures...we've had rain and then wind/dirt storms for the past week here.
What do you think?

The "before":

The "after":

I like the clean look. Very low key without the star. You could black out the chrome trim (vinyl tape) to get a really dark, sleeper look.

Sorry, I have to agree, I like the star ! The biggest improvement I made on my front end was to remove the front plate, bracket and holes...... I know everybody can't do that, but if you can, it Really cleans it up !

I should have added - the grill will be painted matching metallic black and *maybe* chrome/polished alumimum/stainless strips.

How did you remove the holes from the bracket + screws? I took my front license plate off too and those holes are really annoying.

Easiest way is go to Lowes, get plastic plugs (from the pull out bins where they have the specialty screws and nails) and paint them with touch up paint. Or you could buy Porsche bumper plugs for 10 times the cost.

I didn't like the idea of the plugs in the front bumper and you still see them. I took it to my bodyshop and let them fill and paint ! If you have somebody that is really good its not a big deal and Man does it look Nice !

I had at one time considered bumper plugs, but for some reason there are 3 holes drilled on each side of where the bracket used to be and I reallllly didn't want 6 plugs showing on my front bumper.

I guess I have no choice but to take it to a bodyshop. My dad just had his front bumper buffed out and repainted from a minor accident for less than $400 from his friend who owns one. I just came back and it looks immaculate so I will probably head there.

Thanks for the input!

*sorry for the hi-jack...

What brand of grill is that one? Do you mind me asking where you got it? I saw the same grill on a Carlsson CL, I was wondering if that is the same grill.

MP Design in Germany.

I got it from AMWebby, who got it directly from them.
