2002 CL500 (sold)
Should I buy?
Hey all,
I recently sold my 02 CL500 and am considering joining the AMG family. Now Ive read many post with people wih this dilema but I just need some fellow MB'rz opinion. First car a 2003 CL55 61kmiles no keyless go or entry and no distronic and with lorinser front side panels for 21k OBO no existing warranty. Car 2: 2004 E55 casmere designo edition, 90k miles
, every option minus pano roof with "brand new B2B warranty" included in price for 24k...thoughts?....

It can be done, but it can be very expensive. The exclusionary warranties I have will cover ABC/airmatic back to 2004 cars, so 2003 does not qualify. But other providers will do it. You have to call around and see what MB dealers, MBWorld members, etc have and what they cost.

They are OK.....not great, not terrible. But if 4 years of Supreme (their other levels do not cover enough on an E55) is included at the selling price, that's worth something for sure.
Questions to ask:
1. How much time/mileage remaining?
2. Which plan is it (you only want Supreme)?
3. How many claims have been filed under the plan to date?
4. Do they have proof of maintenance/oil changes they will provide upon tranfer?
IMPORTANT: PrCo is one of those companies that requires oil changes more often than the mfr recommends. Unless seller can prove they've been following Prco's requirements, the transfer can be denied. BE CAREFUL HERE.

Which one do you like more? Why did you sell your CL? And are 4 doors important to you? They are both great cars, and are both more an emotional decision than a factual one- it's great that you are doing your research, but in the end you should pick the car you will most look forward to driving.
