Stock CL65 VS Modded C5 Z06

Now should I have beaten him or was the outcome correct? My car didn't feel as fast as it normally does but its either it was heat soaked and my intercooler pump is taking a crap or I am getting used to the car. What do you guys think?

Or you have a very strong car and his tune is not so good.

HaHa.... I think the thing with a CL65 either stock or tuned they are still very quiet with stock exhaust. You can have a heads and cam car next to you at about 3,500-4,000 rpms and you will barely hear anything out of the CL65 at WOT. If both cars are pulling hard you will think your car is slow until you look down at the speedo. Again these cars are fast, and like anything else there is always something faster. If you like your 65 you got it for the whole package. I love the fact that I can have a bunch of drinks and not have to worry about my wife driving my car with a tune. The Vette will be a beast but more likely to end up in a ditch in the wrong hands. Everybody has their preferences...Some are lucky enough to have both (02cl55amg). So OP continue to shock people, check your I/C pump and get a tune, you won't regret it.

Stock 02-04 C5Z's have gone as fast as high 11's at 118. When I had my 04 Z06 with just intake, pnp tb and a mild tune it was no slouch at all.

So with a Tune you trapped 121? and the modded Z was at 120? That is still pretty close.
Been to GLD, US41, and Byron many times. Only ever had the chance to see a CL65 run once. It trapped 118. Never spoke to the owner. I'm just pleasantly surprised that vette did not pull on a stock CL65.
As far as 160+ runs I have no experience. That is crazy!

Sorry for off topic question, but how would your CL65 Compare to a modded 997T?
