Brake hose Broke

I had a rear brake hose break / blow off at the caliper fitting.
The dealer gave me Pn 220-420-01-48 which is about 2” too short. When I tried looking this up on the web, I also found some discrepancies.

Can anyone tell me the correct Pn for a 2005 CL65? Better yet, what about a source for SST braided hoses?

Thanks,
Frank

i am shocked that the brake line broke.. stainless lines are amazing and would be a great upgrade becuase factory rubber lines expand under pressure. in los angeles ca there is a steel braided performance shop called earl's and i would get all my lines made there, but if you just want to call a company and have it shipped to you, go to RENNTECH website and they have a basic uprade kit for your car, here is a copy from there site ( below)..... if you do not want the brake pads try calling renntech and see if they will sell you the lines and fluid only, im sure it will drop the price down allot

RENNTECH's basic brake upgrade uses braided steel lines (front and rear) and high-performance brake pads (front) to deliver more consistent brake pedal feel and reduce fade compared to stock. These pads are meant for the race track and may be be noisy if used on the street.

Price: $890

Per EPC that is the correct part # for a W215. If you PM your VIN I could check more accurately.

FWIW. I upgraded to Goodridge G-Stop stainless lines on my car years ago.

After checking again, I think it's 240-420-01-48. So perhaps the 220 vs the 240 defines the length.
I installed the short one. So if I'm going to go through the trouble of changing, I might as well try braided hoses. Can you sugest a source for Goodridge G-Stop?

Are you sure you got this Pn? There are no listings for brake hose for the CL65. The reason I ask is, I don't mind taking a chance on these, but I'm not sure if I should try the MS-1360 or P42-466.

I have a CL55 ....

How about calling Goodridge directly to see if they make a kit for the C65.. http://www.goodridge.net (310) 533 1924

Renntech sold me just the lines (all 4 ) for $179.00.

I installed them yesterday. It took about an hour. I didn't remove the wheels which made the job go faster, but it's a lot easier with them removed.

Wifey helped bleed the brakes. She wasn't thrilled climbing up the ladder and sitting in the car while it was in the air.
The only thing I should have had was a line wrench for the brake line flare nut. I had to tighten one of the nuts very hard to stop it from leaking, and the wrench was starting to round the nut.

Thanks for your help guys!
