I'ii try agian. On one of my rear Shock Absorbers, I notice that the protected rubber accordion covering the top part is ripped, exposing the coil spring. I am trying to find out if the Rubber boot can be replaced, I am hoping I do not have to replace that $1600.00 Shock. I've had no whistles or bell indicating that my ABC system has malfunction. Hope this a better explanation

Thanks

That's better. As far as I know it will be fine. Its just a boot that keeps the dust out of the area. I can't see it doing any damage. As far as just replacing the rubber boot seperately, phone a dealer and ask them.

The rubber boot is not available separately according to the Electronic Parts System (EPC).

I was told the rubber boot on my car's front left shock is also torn. This was 30,000KMS ago. Maybe it lasted because I never touch the ABC rise button or maybe because my car is lowered and rides stiff with the Brabus module thus less suspension movement.

Correct on the epc and replacement boot. No such part.

It is a dust boot. There is really nothing that I can think of in there that should be protected. It is just a big spring with two rubber bushings on top and bottom.

I would just forget about it and drive it until something gives.
