First problem.

Well, my '03 goes into the dealer tomorrow for what appears to be a ABC or Power Steering oil leak on the front drivers side at the lower portion of the engine compartment. I assume it will end up being a hose/connection issue. Just started seeing the oil last week and finally saw the oil draining from the lower plastic engine shiled this morning.

Did you notice anything different when you drove the car with this problem? If so what?

No. Nothing appears wrong but a little oil leak.

Hopefully a technician that has some pride in his work will clean the residual oil. If it stays there it will make a great home for dirt, debris etc. Let us know how it turns out.

I had a minor fluid leak from the ABC on my 02 CL. The tech just tightened the connection and that solved the problem. I noticed the leak draining from the cover under the car directly under the driver's seat). I believe that the pressure in the system is quite high, so unless all connections have been torqued adequately, leaks are not surprising.

Mine is dripping from right under the drivers side front spoiler.

Will have the car back tomorrow. They are going to do some other things as well. I had a faulty weatherstip that needs replacing as well as getting the ECU flashed with the updated code per the TSB that mbtech208 spoke of for improved mid and higend power.

Well, no car today again. At least I got a 2003 Viper SRT/10 to drive for the weekend. (Thanks Dad)

The leak was from a faulty hose with a pin hole leak in it. Mercedes had to order a new hose from their warehouse and it won't be in until Monday. Don't you hate it when they have to order parts in.

I hope my car is ready tomorrow. This Viper is really an annoying vehicle.

What don't you like about the Viper? Let me guess is it the noise or the seats?

You got it. The noise is a joke. For a track its great. For the street you just look like a complete fool. The seats are terrible. My leg sits partially on the side bolster and my back is in pain. LOL. The steering also feels a bit loose. A little less power assist would be perferable. I would have loved this stuff when I was 16. But at 34, I really now appreciate a vehicle like the CL55.

It's funny how most of the people who drive the Viper has the same complaint. Guess like what you said it's good on the track but not really that good on the streets.

My dealer advised me that this ECU flash WAS NOT for the AMG line. They said the AMG ECU is a different part number.

Therefore, nothing was done on that issue.

After my post this morning, I had my car at the dealer for detailing and asked the head tech about a TSB on the CL55, but he did not find any.
The only problems I have had so far are a vanity light over the passenger visor and a loose AMG insignia on the driver's seat back. I get an annoying message about half the time that the chip card is not recognized. I usually keep the card in my right hip pocket. Maybe it is a weak battery because it would be hard to carry the card any closer to the dash/ignition switch. I assume that the sensor(s)/transponder(s) is/are near the ignition switch.
Altogether an awesome car. I did not rate a Viper today, only an 03 E320, which is an altogether well balanced car. Dash and controls on the E Class are quite good also. The new E55 will really crank.

The bulletin # is The bulletin number is P-B-07.00/28a which has noe been superseded to The bulletin number is P-B-07.00/28c .

Keyless go has inductive antennas in each door, in the trunk and in the rear bumper for a total of 5 antennas.

I have noticed that if the card is buried under paperwork on my front seat it wont get recognized either.

Thanks Adam. I will start putting the Keyless Go card in my left front pants pocket to be closer to the driver's door. I will also have the dealer replace the battery in both transponders. A minor annoyance, this has been the only problem that I have had with the car. I recently noticed a slight squeak when I touch the accelerator even lightly and believe that a belt may be slipping slightly. It is hardly noticable when the windows are open and not apparent when the windows are closed, but should be checked. Other than that, the car just gets better every day.

The SuperCharger belt squeak is a common problem with the C32's . No permanent fix is known as far as they say.
