01 CL55 Service A Question
I know this consists of oil service, do I need to replace the oil filter? What type of oil filter do I need? Will most autopart warehouses have the oil filter?

Yes you replace the oil filter anytime you are doing a oil change.

Will traditional autopart warehouses have my specific oil\oilfilter ex advanced autoparts? being the rare car that it is I just want to be sure that I'm getting the right stuff.

I am not sure. If in doubt, go to the local Benz parts department and buy it there.

I serviced my Benz with Mobil 1 5w30 and I still have the service A message coming up every time how do I get it reset?

Not sure, but I think your car requires 0w40 oil.

Just purchase the filter from the dealer. Don't get any filters from anywhere else. Also check your air filters. Check all the other fluid levels too such as ABC and power steering etc etc. To reset the reminder I think you have to turn the key to position 2 (before start) and scroll to the Service display menu. Hold R for sometime then confirm by pressing R again.
