Stuck in Park
I got stuck in park today and couldn't move the shifter to drive..
I wiggled it and tried all sort of things then it finally moved to drive I hope my tranny is not the issue here
Hopefully someone can help me out

I think it has to do with some plastic piece that breaks. There is a thread about this. The replacement piece is metal. I will see if I can find it.

My car will do this time to time but I do the same thing like you. I heard its like 2-300 to fix. Doesnt really bother me much so I never got it fixed yet.

Two options if it is the shifter lock mechanism.
#1 Remove it and you will no longer have an issue but will lose the safety lock feature. (Search for instructions which have been posted)
#2 Replace the broken plastic locking mechanism with the reproduction plastic or aluminum part. http://www.cart.com.au/mono-global/view/2592

By the way, if you are still stuck there is a way to possibly get the lever out of park.
Remove the shift knob. Put a pieces of wood or protective material on the op of the shift rod and tap it only with as much force as needed with a rubber mallet to bounce the lever and the rod free as you pull it out of park.
Be careful as the air bag module sits under the shift box and it you hit it the air bags can deply.
