How To: (Video) Replace / upgrade your Intercooler pump, with Bosch part numbers.
This is a common problem:
Driving fine, and after some hard pulls up to redline, the engine loses power.
9 times out of 10, your intercooler pump is the culprit.
Try turning off the engine, waiting 15 seconds, and turning it back on.
If this "solves" the problem for a few minutes, then you need to follow this simple guide.
----------------------------------
Tools required:
*Coolant, MB 325.0 spec: BQ 1 03 004
*Bosch Intercooler PUMP: 0392 022 010
*10mm socket
*Jack and stand
* 2x $10 Hose clamp tools (shown in video)
*Flat head screwdriver
----------------------------------
WATCH THIS VIDEO
-Jack up the car and set it on a stand
-Unplug pump electrical connection plug on the rear of the pump.
-Undo the pump fastener, the single 10mm head bolt. The pump will now hang down, with only the hoses attaching it to the car.
>The goal is to clamp the hoses as close to the pump as possible. You'll lose virtually no coolant. <
-Then simply remove the hose clamps with a flat head, and pull of the lines.
-Install pump in reverse order.
(If you did not clamp hoses, or if you opened the drain valve on the radiator to flush and refil with new coolant, fill the expansion tank full, and run car with cap off and heater on high for 10 mins. Keep refilling coolant, and then let things cool down and check the level.)
Bleed process:
Hope this helps!

Farly simple, but there was no way for the "clamps" in the video to work (not nearly enough room) but I managed with two needle-nose vice grips covered in 1/4" fuel hose.
Question is: My old 003 pump had an air line / vacuum line attached and the new 010 pump had a place to put it but it was just a stud. Anybody know what that air line was for? Looks like there is no air line on the old pump in Nidaynazo's video. PS: Mine is '05

There is no need to do so. In the other video he showed the flows and its pretty clear that the system burps itself. Now that only applies to the 55K motors and not the TT 12 motors.

The formula is for every 10 Degree Celsius lower air intake temperature, 1% more power.
