Stellar ABC Work Performed at BenzWörks

I took my car to Serge at BenzWörks today (MBWorld sponsor in Huntington Beach, CA) to have my pulsation damper replaced, as well as have the ABC looked over. The pressure line off the pump was my main concern, and I wanted to make sure that line was still in good health.

Serge replaced the pulsation damper and the ran the car through Rodeo. He felt that the pressure line was fine, and that there was no need for replacing it. I appreciate the honesty, as I would have been in a position to just replace it as his insistence. Serge explained to me that my car took over one quart(!) of Pentosin fluid in addition to what I had, and that there was a lot of air in the system.

I drove my car home and WOW it feels night and day different! I can immediately tell that the suspension altogether feels much more sophisticated. It was beginning to feel "boaty" almost, but Serge made it feel like brand new.

I can't credit Serge and BenzWörks enough for their knowledge of Mercedes (ABC especially) and their professional demeanor. Thank again, Serge! You know you have more work coming your way from me!

Good to hear!

Maybe running the rodeo, burping the system and topping off fluid should be required maintenance every 25,000mi or something like that..

Should be. I had Fletcher Jones do an ABC service around 8,000 miles ago, but I somehow think they did not do the best of jobs

Good to hear there are still honest people in the business.

However, the abc in your model vehicle is self- bleeding. There should not be air in the system.

I love honest mechanics. That's who I have working on my car as well. Someone who won't BS me into just buying new parts and replacing them.

Yes. They take 10 minutes to replace.

How do you know you need to replace the Accumulators?
Is there a preventive schedule time span on get those replaced?
