All finished up with the new filters:

Watch this video first for a detailed explanation:

Here you can see the difference n the filters.. The newest ones are drawing air only from the tip. They still flow very well, but they are shrouded in plastic (fortified by the adhesive heat shield wrap I used to further protect them) and do not draw in heat from the engine bay now.

H+JUst wanted to mention the "devil horns" scoops are matched up to the grille opening and make a very close fit. ...

Hi. Thank you very much for this DIY, it's great to see people being creative (especially when it doesn't cost an arm and a leg). Right now I can't view the parts list which was in the first post. I'm currious where you obtain the Y-pipe and silicone hoses? Thank you.

Looks good. OP re-upload some pics from the first page as it seems some people are getting upset and are blocking those pics.

What's the inside diameter of the y-pipe part? I'm looking to do something similar to allow installing an 82mm throttle body.

His status says "banned" so im guessing hes gone. I am no expert but from what he did with the front grille intakes etc.. it looks like one run through a powerful carwash with the engine on and im guessing shes in hydrolock heaven.

Yes but look at your car again... there are some plastic pieces in front of it that put the incoming air away from the inlets... Probably because of that rain issue?
On the other hand, he has air filters and they actually would hold the water back i believe.
