Talking Eurocharged Euro-Flash! Data Logging, OBDII Code Functions, and ECU Flashing!!

I’m sure some of you have heard about this over the past few months, but I wanted to formally introduce the software to the community.

Over the past few years we have been using an OBDII cable to do remote tunes for our customers. This has allowed us to reach out to customers in other parts of the world and provide them with the same tune they would get locally! About a year ago, we started looking into ways to improve on this concept and make it more efficient and user friendly. Well, we succeeded and the new version of this software is almost ready for public release.

Euro-Flash is the next generation software package for the Mercedes! It will have full OBDII Data Logging, OBDII Code Reading / Clearing, and you can flash your own car with encoded files sent via email! Customers will be able to data-log AFR, Timing, Boost, IAT’s, RPM, Throttle Position, ETC and our software will create a file that is easily readable.

It’s never been easier to get a custom tune!

Here are the top 10 benefits when you go with Eurocharged over the competition:

1.) No need to send out ECU
2.) No need to buy an expensive tool
3.) No need to pay loaner tool fee’s
4.) Real Time Data Logging
5.) OBDII Code Reading and Clearing
6.) Updated Tunes sent via email
7.) Dyno Tuning is much easier
8.) Customer Support
9.) TCU Flashing will be supported in a future release
10.) Swapping Tunes at the track takes only a few minutes

This software has been tested on the following ECU’s:

ME 2.8 / ME 2.8.1 (320 series, 500 series, 32AMG, 55AMG, SRT6, etc)

ME 2.7.1 (2003-2006 V12’s 600/65)

Still having trouble deciding on which tuner to go with? We are now offering very attractive pricing on our tunes.

55 AMG - $399 (Cable included)
600 - $499 (Cable included)
65 AMG - $499 (Cable included)
2000-2006 MB’s not mentioned above - $350 (Cable included)

I'm so confused. Which handheld would I need and what does it cost? Also, I'm assuming you can't use one without the other so why wouldn't the handheld come with the cable?

I'll take some time to explain on Monday.

MyGenius = Handheld Programmer (can only flash the car)

Euro-Flash = USB to OBD2 Cable with pc software (can flash ecu, clear codes, data log)

Two different products.

Well I feel like an idiot. The handheld lets me flash the ECU without a computer and the cable lets me use a computer to flash the ECU without a handheld. Besides not having to take the laptop out to the car, is there any benefit one has over the other?

The laptop version allows you to read and clear codes as well as data log. It also costs less than the programmer.

However, if those features don't appeal to you, then the mygenius is for you!

I keep one in my black series.

Hi Jerry, If I purchase a tune for my 65, I will have to get my own reader separate from what you send me, correct? A little confused. You guys have any hardware laying around for 65's? May need to come to Chi soon.
Thx

I think its a fair price, there is others out there but since no company will take the blame for a bad tune, its best to go with someone who's been doing it for a while.

Correct me if I am wrong but i think the USB remote cable is using ELM327, its similar to what you can buy online which would still give you the ability to data log many of the cars sensors.

I use a Bluetooth ELM327 along with dashcomman (android) and Torque (android) to keep an eye on my VAT, Sensors, read codes and so on. it would be nice if they have their own proprietary software for the data logging and playback.

I would definitely be interested in a tune and s/c pulley but price has been holding me back along with the lack of realistic gains expected on a CL55. All I see on the website as far as HP gains is more geared towards the E55's. I don't know if $700+ is worth it to spend on something I drive less than 200 miles a month. I use money to make money and $700 pays for a lot.

I do over x amount of dollars in sales a year but I sell stuff very cheap, my profit is less per item but at the prices I manufacture and sell my items at, I am able to put my product into more peoples hands. The selling price was a trial and error experience for me. I found that at $100 my product was harder to sell. I would have 50 to 100 sales a month. I reduced my price to $70 and my sales jumped to 800 plus sales a month, so for my company $30 dollars was a huge difference in the customers mind.

I think your on the right track with pricing reductions. This is just my experience in the way I do business so don't get upset but if a tune is $799 2-3 people might buy it a month, but if a tune was $199 it would be affordable to many people and should increase sales to 15+ people a month at least.

I just think $199 would increase sales exponentially. I have no idea what your sales figures are like but whatever it is the difference between "I'm going to buy this" and "Thats too much" in a customers point of view is something every company should put effort into researching. The above is just a dramatic example.

Again I'm not devaluating your product or bad mouthing your business strategy, I am just giving you my opinion and experience.

God Bless.

Ok, I am still on the fence about what tuner to go with as well. I looked at your site but I didnt see this. So for $499 you get data logger and ecu flashing. This doesnt include a tune does it ? Does this support a wideband ? Do you guys customize the tune after data logging has been done with mods ?

Would really like more info. Thanks

We are not using that cable, you wouldn't be able to write to the ecu (only read with that)

We share your pricing point, we easily have the cheapest pricing on tuning of almost anyone in the market and have for years. I would urge you to check around at the various prices for other tuners. There is no way we can sell a tune plus a data logging product for $199 and come anywhere near a profit no matter where the volume we would need to, there is simply not that many cars around to do so.

I don't know anyone else on the market that is offering FREE datalogging software with their tuning product on these cars, yet alone doing it for 1/2 of what other tuners are offering!

for example:

Here is current market listing pricing for the tune alone:

Kleeman: $1038
Renntech: $1495
O E : $1095
Eurocharged: : $399 with free data logging and remote tuning cable

We haven't posted on the site yet, as it should be released in the next 3 weeks

Yes, depending on the car model that price includes the software for the data logging, the remote tuning cable as well as the TUNE!

We can custom tune the car if you like for an additional fee. All tunes are already built for your depending on your location (elevation), octane of your local gas, and the current mods on the car. No, the software does not support a wideband but does use the cars o2 sensors and will log that information.

Good info , thank you. I have been split between yours and OE tuning (fairly local and very good as well). FYI OE has changed the price to $595 tune only or $845 with flash loader and three tunes. Probably because of your price drop I imagine.

I will need a tune by the 8th since that is when all my mods will be installed. $399 for all this seems like an amazing deal ! You guys do seem to have a lot better tuning now than you did a long time ago from everything I have been reading.

So can you do remote tuning on a dyno ? Can this tune the TCU ? What exactly can it data log ? What parameters ? Can it reset codes ?

Thanks

Ah thanks for the update, I was just going on website pricing

Yup, we have tuned over 6000 cars to date and are opening up new locations and dealers all around the world!

Yes, we can remote dyno tune using the same cable. We require an additional per hour fee for this service. We cannot tune the tcu via this cable yet. We are working on that solution now but its going to be a while before that is complete.

Yes it can reset codes. There is better detail here for you!

2002 C215 CL500
Hi I'm interested in the Euro-Flash.

My car is a 2002 C215 CL500. I assume it runs a Motronic 2.8 but this is my first Mercedes so I'm new to the scene. My first European car after a long list of Fords.

Can you let me know is the CL500 is the $350 'all other mercedes' option?

Thanks,

--Drew

What is the ETA for W216 tuning (cl600 here), and the TCU also? Looks like some very cool stuff.
