Still learning to navigate this site.
I have bumped my passenger side mirror and it seperated from the rubber about 1/2 inch. Is it broke or can it be tightened up?Any comments would be great. JT

Have you tried pushing it back or actuating the fold in/fold out control to see if it fixes this issue ?

Hello, thanks for the feedback.I have tried pushing it back in with no success.the fold in /out option still eludes me. I have not mastered the command manual info on where to control this option. I'll keep reading. thank you again.JT

The switch is on the door for the mirrors.

lol this is funny because the first day I bought the car, the passenger side mirror was hanging "loosely".

after the salesman pushed the "mirror in/mirror out" button, the loose mirror problem went away forever.

try pushing that button see if it goes away.

The directions for repositioning a mirror that has been forcibly displaced are in my 05 manual p182 under the last paragraph of Folding exterior rear view mirrors in and out manually. Note the procedure is different for a mirror forced foreward than back. Breifly, pushed foreward, reposition it manually by by applying firm pressure until it snaps back. If forcably pushed rearward, press button 2 to fold mirror in, then press button 1 to fold mirror out.Do not force by hand as it may damage the adjustment mechanism.
