Single Digit MPG
Before I turned the car in it was getting about 16 mpg city driving, now it doesn't get past 5 mpg city driving. I know the ECU was reset due to the extended periods of time with no battery hooked up but geez, its been a week now and still the single digit numbers. I am not driving bad in the car.. do I keep it in DS or CS? I have ABC Sport mode engaged just to keep the wear and tear down on the ABC system but it was that way before all the fixes, I don't get it..
Anything I should be checking?

If the engine is using that much fuel, its likely that there will be some OBD2 messages - misfire, too rich, Lambda fault, that sort of thing.
Was the intake plumbing removed during the work? I would check it all for alignment, leaks, dirt, missing seals etc.

But when the instrument cluster is unplugged or switched, they are sometimes inadvertently reset somehow and they seem to start at around 6mpg and go up from there.
The main thing is, your "After Reset" should be accurate after around 100 miles. And that the car isn't actually getting 6mpg.
So the question is; are you really getting 6mpg, or is your instrument cluster telling you you're getting 6mpg? You can't believe the trip computer, they're always off. Fill up your tank of gas, reset the trip odometer and the "after reset" trip computer, drive normally for at least 200 miles, refill your tank at the same gas station, and determine your true mpg by dividing your trip odometer with the exact volume of fuel you put into your tank. This is always different than what the after reset trip computer says.
