Looks about right at lower speeds. At higher speeds the compressor shouldn't be that much slower. I would check intercooler pump.

Yeah, IC pump most likely, when mine was going bad i couldn't even keep up with a Mustang GT or G37S...

If his SC wasn't engaging because of the IC (i didn't hear it) then you were basically racing a CL500

You can hear the supercharger in that video.

Could clearly hear the supercharger whine. From all accounts, this is not surprising. As the speed increases, the V12 really shines. If the supercharger wasn't engaging, it would have been much much worse.

Thanks for the confirmations and was going to post the exact same thing but didn't want to hurt the 55 guys feelings. Those V12 are so under rated and over looked. Never mess with a TT V12 benz.

Yes, yes, my whole world just came crashing down around me because a 600 beat a 55 in this video

I'v had the chance to race a 600 and we were neck and neck until around 60/65 then he started to pull on me and we came to a light and he turned off

From what i remember when i was test driving (600, 55 and 65) before deciding on my 55 the 600 is a TT 5.5 V12 with the same output as the 55 but with around 75lbs more torque right?

On paper, yes, but in reality the 600 actually had around 540 bhp from the factory.

Ahh, ok, i remember it was quite a beast when i drove it, i just don't like the feel of V12s personally which is why i didn't buy a 65 when i was shopping

For the longest time I didn't know that the 600s were turbocharged until i went to drive one, i always thought they were just a NA version of the V12 in the 65

That's the first time I've ever heard someone say they didn't like the V12. In my opinion, that's the best Benz engine around. It's just so smooth.

That's why I don't like them, they aren't as 'gruff' as the V8, I don't like V10s either for pretty much the same reason

V8s seam to be the sweet spot

You've never driven a CL65 then or a ECU/TCU modded CL600.

They are beasts and they feel every bit of it.

Actually I drove all but the 500 when I was shopping as I said in one of my previous posts, the V12s just don't do it for me

People that can't afford the top of the line cars usually say that. It's like saying "I would of bought a Murcilago but didn't like the V12 in it so I bought a boxer instead"

That's cute, your talking about a 10 year old car as if it's a fresh from the dealer car, when I bought the 55 there was only a trivial price difference in price between it and the 65 I drove

You don't have to be petty and try to start an argument and ruin this guys thread, if you like the V12 good for you, I do not

And as far as what people can afford you might want to check out what Steve Jobbs drove or what Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Mark Zuckerberg drive before assuming things about people's means
