But the fact remains that the CL65 does not use the 7 speed tranny. The additional weight makes it slower than the CL63 V8 TT.

The CL63 has advantages in price, more performance mods available, better sounding exhaust, higher rev'ing engine (more sensory stimulation), and lighter weight resulting in better handling.
The CL65 has greater exclusivity and status (although 99.99% of the people will have no clue the difference in the cars), V12 badges and exhaust tips (not my preference). The CL65 is a torque monster but unless you are rolling around on drag radials, you will not see the benefit of that low-end grunt.
It all comes down to if you value the exclusivity and status of the V12 and 65 badge and torque over the more avaiable and useable performance of the CL63.

The v12tt is turbine like smooth and feels like the hand of God when pushed from any speed you have traction at.

Unless you're just looking for the bragging rights of owning a 65 the 63 should be an all around better experience to own, i'm actually deciding between buying a new CL63 or a used SLS next year
Also keep in mind that the new S Class Coupe is going to be announced fairly soon which will replace the CL so you might want to hold off until then
