Just bought a Eurocharged stage 2 kit. Any tips or tricks for smoothest install???
I just bought the stage 2 eurocharged kit for my 2003 CL55 amg. I am going to take it to my local mechanic to install the headers. I want to try installing the supercharger pulley, heat exchanger, inter cooler pump myself.
When I take it to the mechanic for the Kleeman headers installation, I wouldn't mind letting him know any tips and tricks to make the install go smoother so I don't spend the whole day watching him f*** around with my car.
Also, if anyone has tips or "learned lessons" from the supercharger pulley, heat exchanger, and intercooler pump (latest Bosch unit) installs \ upgrades , please let me know.
By the way, I didnt order a crank pulley, just the supercharger pulley that takes the boost to around 13 psi.
Another question, Is it easier to change the engine mounts on these cars if you have the headers off anyways?
Just trying to minimize downtime and frustration during these upgrades.
Thanks

I will do cooling mods all at once too.
Would you guys consider the belt wrap a "must have" with the smaller supercharger pulley?
I'm considering putting a electric exhaust cut out before the mufflers as well. What's the size of the exhaust pipes on the 55k cl's ?
I think it is supposed to add 60-70 wheel HP and like 80 lb/ft of torque to the wheels???
I will report back on results after the install...

Ordered the latest generation 010 Bosch intercooler pump from RMEuropean.com along with my motor/trans mounts and a few other preventative maintenence items.
Didnt want to mess with the cm30 johnson pump since it requires minor wiring work. I wanted to stay "plug and play" for the intercooler pump.
I got everything, EuroCharged items + RMeuropean items ( engine/tranny mounts, intercooler pump, fuel filter, SC belt, Windshield wipers ) for about $3k canadian.

So I cant just remove the old supercharger pulley without lifting the engine?
Also, the new smaller super charger pulley came with 3 very thin, flat metal rings. What are these for and where are they placed during install?

I tried searching on how to remove the cl55's front bumper but could not find anything specific to the w215. Can some tell me how? Or provide a link for instructions?
Lift up front end
Remove inner wheel-well coverings
Look inside the area where the bumper meets the fender from the wheel-well area you will see a torx or a 8mm bolt there. Remove these 1 from each side
Open hood and you need to remove 4 bolts on top of the bumper
2 nuts behind the lower grille
Pull the pumper from the front, disconnect wiring.
Very similar to this:

Thanks for this, I wont have to do as much guess work when I begin. Its been snowing a lot here in Calgary but I am hoping to start on the upgrades this weekend. I am using a buddies hoist so it should make accessing the under side much easier.
I made sure to get the OEM engine and transmission mounts, didnt want to put aftermarket ones in and then repeat labour prematurely as AndreNY indicated.
Reason I ask is because I wont have the headers on the car this weekend, So I wanted to wait for eurocharged to tune the ECU after I put them on.

if you keep it under 3000 RPM and don't beat on it you wont have any issues at all driving it like that
I thought I had to replace the voltage regulator because I was getting a battery charge warning on the dash.I couldn't get the regulator off because of one of the Phillips screws ended up getting stripped. So decided to take the alternator out and get it rebuilt since the alternator didn't seem like it was in too great of shape. Removing the alternator wasn't too bad but you have to remove the cooling fan to get it out. While I was underneath the car I noticed a couple of leaks, and it smelt a little like hydraulic fluid and it looks like ABC hydraulic lines that are leaking and sweating near the ABC pump.
