So I just hit 150k, some people say I should sell my car cause its all downhill from here but I can't... Was wondering what you guys think I should upgrade or change out. Going to do spark plugs and spark plug wires and change the head gaskets. Anything else I should add to the list engine wise?

I'm not sure about the market but I would believe its pointless to sell with that many miles. I would just ride it out and take care of it as much as possible.

Well, I'm just coming up to 160k, and I've had no problems. Er, no, wait a minute, I've had loads of problems: ABC, ABS, coil packs, brakes, O2 sensors, all the usual things. However, the core stuff - engine, tranmission etc are all fine. There are always costs, but nothing to lose sleep over.

I think maybe you mean valve cover gaskets? I fyou are changing head gaskets, then you should get a valve job as well but I assume you mean head gaskets?
Do normal service and keep the car, as the engines are supposed to be good for 300K or so, if taken care of.. I only have 66K and changed a few engines already, but I race the hell out of them

150,000.....barely run in.
There's 320,000 on 2002 CL55AMG and its drives great feels tight and smooth and everything works as it should, it's been service at dealers from day 1 never missed one last being 2K ago sometimes getting serviced 3 times in a year when the previous owner covered HUGE mileage per year.
So fret not they run for ever as long as its well maintained.
I would also say though up till when I picked up the car it had over £72,000 GBP in repair bills invoices over £51,000 GBP of that was warranty work. My motor through its life has wanted for nothing and been maintained to the highest degree hence the mileage and still going great with no errors when I recently scanned all the systems in the car (diagnostics).

i would look at it like a PPI. belts, plugs, all the fluids including ABC, brake lines, motor+tranny mounts. if you've been maintaining it regularly you should be 100% ok. youll just loose a lot when you do sell money wise of course lol

Yeah I meant changing my valve cover gasket. Ive been thinking about it and I think Im going to keep the car. Like Blkvip said, Im going to lose money selling the car. I should've sold it before when I had the chance..
