My CL is finally starting to feel at home!

I installed the race setup tonight consisting of the following:

- 18" x 9 1/2" wheels
- MT ET Streets - 265/40-18
- 15mm spacers
- stock lug bolts

This BARELY clears the dust shield by 3/16" at most.

Once the ABC is diagnosed (Star DAS came in today) I'll be pulling some 0-60MPH runs on the streets. I won't be happy until I see 3.8 seconds. Keep in mind, the little SRT6 I owned could pull 3.9's with street tires and 3.8's with the race setup, so hopefully I'm not asking too much.

Look really close in this photo and you'll see how close the dust shield is to the wheel.

Cool. Can't wait to hear how it hooks. My et streets are on the way so hope I'll be running on DR's in less than a month as well.

Looks good, but aren't those MTs directional? Looks like they are on the wrong sides. I thought mine had arrows. I don't know how much of a difference it makes. An LSD would help with those times, I can't say it enough.

I'm surprised they fit, especially with the spacers I had on hand. I took a glance on the way out this morning, and they are installed backwards. I was just test fitting last night, and didn't really pay any attention to it. Nice catch.

Will the wheels tuck inside the fenders or do they stick way out with the spacers? I like to jack a front tire and see if the opposite rear goes inside the wheel well. If you have ABC issues you don't want the rear quater to get destroyed if the car squats. Glad to see another 65 putting on some track gear! Good luck.

I don't think they will tuck inside. If the suspension doesn't limit the squat, I'll just modify or replace the dust shield and remove the spacers. This should get it back into the fender. I really don't want to go with larger diameter wheels if I can avoid it.

That's the one thing I never expected Anthony to do. He was always trying something new on the SRT6 just to be a bit faster. He's a tinkerer and I expect it will be the same with the 65.

You shouldn't need a different size, maybe just the offset of the wheel. I have 18" amg knockoffs that fit without spacers. It sounds like you'll get it under control, everything just requires a little more attention with the car that's all.

I take it you didn't have any interference from the dust shield.

I didn't/don't have any issues with the dust shields. No spacers for my drag radial setup, but I do run a set of 15mm on my widened stock rear wheels.

So your saying you don't run drag radials all around? LOL...Joking of course, but you didn't need spacers with those did you? I think the stock style wheels are more of a flatter face keeping the spokes away from the brakes. Then again not providing the most stylish look.

Please don't mention skinnies, or my OCD might start acting up. I've already tried skinnies on the CL and I've only had it a couple weeks. Unfortunately they didn't fit.

After further investigation it appears the track tires (rears) will work without spacers.
