window auto up and down problem

window auto up and down problem
okay, my drivers side window doesn't lower slightly when i open the door and doesn't raise when i close the door. did the reset and no go. if i raise the driver's window all the way while in the car with it running and let off button immediately the window will lower about 3 inches. well i tried the passenger window and it wont auto raise, or lower when i open , or close the door either. tried the reset on both doors. no luck. is there a common module that works both windows? strange that both windows are the same.
is reset raise window all the way up, hold button for 3-5 seconds, lower window all the way and hold button for 3-5 seconds, raise window all the way and hold button for 3-5 seconds. that's what i did on both windows with no luck.
any help would be appreciated. btw, door speakers work on both doors and every other function on doors work including soft close.

bump, please advise. btw, when window is fully raised and i press down on button briefly window does go all the way down on it's own which i believe is part of the normal function. so what's causing my problem?

im at a loss. only thing i can think of is disconnect the battery. essentially a full reset. but yes press and hold till the window is all up for a few sec then press and hold till the window is all down for a few sec.
