2.25-2.25 45 deg
2.25-4" straight reducer
4" 90deg
4" 45deg
4" coupling
4" to 3.5" 45 deg

Passenger side starting at the turbo:
2.25-4" 45deg
4" 90deg
4" coupling (to extend straight)
4"-3.75" 45 deg
I still can't get over how simple it is to construct these ourselves, & for a few measly hundred dollars you can have something that not only looks excellent but makes an utter mountain of HP/TQ in comparison to the "HP per Dollar" $$ invested... Your intakes look excellent bud

The only thing I'd suggest is adding some header wrap to retain as much of that cool air as possible. Simlar to what I've done to mine..

You are absolutely right, I was shocked at the power it added. It is simple enough to do. I thought of the header wrap, but it is tight as is. Thankfully the metal sleeves I used as couplings allow me to hold the silicone fittings in the oval position where needed between the coils. Also, I really don't think there is any real benefit since the air is moving at such a high velocity from outside. I don't think its in the tubing long enough for any heat transfer from the tubing. I guess it can't hurt, but I doubt it will end up on my setup.

You're def right when the car's moving @ speed, but ANY time spent @ idle def effects IAT's. & I was determined to shoehorn the header wrap in, to preserve that colder air.. The tubing @ largest DIA is 6" exposed blk silicone, middle is 5.5" by Coil Packs. If you ever change your mind when doing maintenance & they're removed again you can def see it is possible (I only ran the header wrap to hottest areas by cylinder heads & exhaust mani's/turbs) ] V12TT intake tubes: RaceHorse Version-img_3468.jpg

Thanks for posting up those detailed sizes! Did you buy 3 feet of the 4" flex tube or 6 feet? I'm game to put this thing together, but I want i'd like to figure out a grill solution 1st... wish the stock one would clear... Do you think there is any other grill solution than the mesh? It does look sick though to see those filters poking out!

You certainly have that as a snug fit, our cars are different up front, I don't see where I could fit the 5-6" pipe in the CL. Glad you can make if work in your car.

I ended up getting the 3 foot piece of flex, just don't cut it too short or have the wire separate from the hose. I wish the material I used for the grille was a little heavier, then with a powder coat it might not be so bad(transparent). I don't know of any other options.

I've poked around the CL65 eng bay on few dif friends rigs.. You are correct, the Real Estate is slightly different you can make it work though Just be prepared for some beat ta' sh-t knuckles! Swear these v12's are thirsty for more than high octane, I've lost a decent amount of blood working on them over the last 6yrs..

Not with and without a tune. However, the same tune, adding catless down pipes with stock airboxes removed and using the cone filters jump from 562whp to 645whp. Different Dyno-Jets better weather for the 645 whp pull, but still a huge gain. A updated tune on a Mustang Dyno came in at 550 whp and 684 wtq, pretty much in line with the dyno jet depending on different conversions from one ot the other.

I had my intake apart last week, was trying to access the blow off valves... but I came across this thing on the stock intake box... anyone know what it is? Its the fitting with the blue on it. Had a hose connected to it. Thanks!

It is where your PCV hose attaches to the intake. Mercedes apparently figured it needed a check valve, that's the blue thing you see. In my CAI setup I did not add a check valve, but my PCV hose is still hooked to the drivers side intake tube just upstream of the turbo.

I see the K&N CIA systems for Camaros, Mustangs, trucks, etc in JEGS catalogs (and others)...using a poly/plastic/silicone runner from the throttle body to the filter. It would seem that at least one (or maybe a couple) of these applications might have a size and/or shape RUNNER that would fit onto our TTV12s from the turbo to the radiator support. Has anyone done any research in this area? Sure would be nice to have a "pre-fabbed" factory looking plastic runner without all the hose clamps and BS. I wish I could go out to the Summit Racing store here in Atlanta and pilfer through their entire CIA inventory and see if one of those damn things would fit.

I think you are wishing without thinking logically. I don't see it being coincidence that another intake tube would have all the bends in the right spots. Every engine bay is different. Unfortunately, if it was one piece you would never be able to install it on the turbos or the back of the radiator. It ends up being assembled in place otherwise there is no access to the lower clamps. If you take off your stock airboxes for a better look it should make better sense.

Have you guys found one source for all of these hoses? I'm kinda all over so far... Thanks!
