Question about stock rwhp on CL600

Hi guys, I know there's a W215 sub-forum but it's not as active as this one, plus quite a few folks here jumped from CL600>CL65.

I'm trying to find out what stock rwhp the CL600 is? Also what does Eurocharged tune on CL600 add? Couldn't find that info on their website.

Thanks

Just to add Eurocharge states:

STOCK POWER 493HP / 590TQ
EUROCHARGED TUNED POWER 593HP / 695TQ

But CL600 is known to make around 540hp/640tq from the factory so....?

A 65 maybe, but not a 600. The 600 is rated at just over 500 at the crank.

2003 CL55
some of the CL600 that I have seen dynoed are around the 430 rwhp range.

So if 430rwhp is stock does the eurocharge tune add 80rwhp?

I think they increased the spec at some point from 490 to 510 crank and the Eurocharged tune gains around 95 crank on both.

Could you comment on stock crank torque and eurocharge tune crank torque?

I think that's most people's common understanding of the FLYWHEEL figures.

I think the disparity comes from how the figures are measured. MB probably quote DIN 70020 or ISO 1585 measurements, which require the engine to produce max power for a relatively long, continuous period.

Quarter miles and dyno runs are much shorter tests than DIN, so a car that measures 540 on the dyno may indeed be 493 DIN. I bet the Eurocharged figures (or any other tuner for that matter) are not DIN or ISO figures

So I figure the 593 hp is real, its just not 100 hp more than a stock engine measured the same way.

I went from around 390 RWHP to 525 RWHP with a Renntech tune on my old CL.

I've posted the dyno charts when I did the before and after. Dyno shop had nothing to do with the tune. They were floored at how much it made with a.tune.

More like 130ish crank but it isn't far fetched, stock 600s were running 493 crank hp. Back when these cars were going for 140k vs 200k+ people were going for the 600 with a tune since it could make more power than a stock 65 with a 620-630 crank hp on a tuned vs a 604 stock 65 and save 50k+

525 rwhp with a tune isn't hard to believe even using a standard 18% drive train loss it's still roughly 620 at the crank.

My CL before the tune was definitely down on power. To me, it was underwhelming. After the tune, totally different car.

Is this generally with any tune or Renntech specific which looks like makes the most power ironically since Renntech is known to be conservative.

Curious as to how Renntech achieves the most gains from only an ECU tune compared to an only ECU Kleemann, Eurocharged, Speedriven etc.

Renntech may be much more aggressive with their tunes. They have more experience.
