My CL65's for sale if anyone is interested
Here's the listing: http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/4933877717.html
Please email questions directly instead of posting on here or PM'ing, as I don't get on here as often as I'd like: awheelus@unarcorack.com
I'm asking $22,750 for a quick sale. Here's the Carfax: http://freepdfhosting.com/8f5a3b6cab.pdf
I'm selling because I've owned it a year and it's time to move on. I'm running out of time to get something new sorted out before the Clayton 1/2 mile in September. I have my eye on a 135I coupe. And believe it or not, they are getting 600WHP on the single turbo V6's now. Should prove to be a lot of fun based on the weight and RWD.

Thanks guys. I really like the beast, but I knew this was a short-term marriage when I picked her up. I've owned 14 different cars in the past 4 years, and raced 3 different cars the past 3 years at the Clayton 1/2 mile event.
And SL55 Forever, thanks for the kind words, but I'm just a guy with a few mods that posts a good bit. The real trailblazers are here swapping turbos and machining heads. I'm just a small fish in a big pond.

I'm interested to hear about the maintenance and repair during your ownership with an emphasis on what ABC components were replaced. The CL can be ludicrously expensive to own after 75k miles.

- oil and filter change
- tranny fluid and filter change
- carrier fluid change
- new rear flex joint coupler
- new tranny mount
- new control arms
- new OEM radiator and fluid change
- new OEM ABC pump, fluid, and filter
- replaced both front accelerators
- replaced sun sensor
- new OEM engine coils
- BIP ECU Tune
- BIP TCU tune
- New idler pulleys (uninstalled)
- lowering links (I can replace with stock links if desired)
That's all I can think of right now. I have a more thorough list at home, but I don't think I missed much.
I'm sure even with the 7 grand I estimate I have tied up in mods and maintenance, the car will still be far from cheap to maintain.
Thanks and I agree.

if you don't mind me asking I showed your car to a friend of mine who is potentially interested in it, one question for you, you mentioned you changed the coils and they have a lifetime warranty just wondering who offers that?
Thanks
Thanks

pretty sure the lifetime warranty is offered by the manufacturer, now that the part is no longer distributed exclusively through mercedes-benz. i believe it applies to the updated left and right coilpack, if you compare the part numbers - the updated ones should have no problems.

I purchased the coils from Autozone and they come with a lifetime warranty. They were shipped in MB boxes with the MB part numbers on the boxes covered with box tape. The coils are OEM, but for some reason they want to hide that bit of info. Also, the coils have the new MB part numbers on them.

Bad news for me. The free Ebay Autocheck report claims the car had damage, while the Carfax is perfect.

Sorry to hear that, unfortunately these title checks don't mean squat anymore, having 2-3 bodyshops look over the car is the only way to know you're not getting a "hit" car. GLWS either way I'm sure it drives perfect.

Autocheck listed a mileage discrepancy on my Lexus but Carfax did not. It was an obvious clerical error while the car was at an auction place after it was turned in from a lease so I never put any thought into it. It made me wonder if Carfax weeds out insignificant history items. Good luck still. The car is fkn gorgeous! I saw a black 06 CL65 on a car hauler three days ago near DFW Airport. My buddy and I had to turn around and go look at it. My CL55 is almost more than I can handle. I couldn't imagine the 65 haha.

I'd rather sell for low than part out, these cars are stupid rare as it is. It's easier to pull M275's from s65's anyway, there's way more of them. The more w215 cl65s that stay on the road, the better.
