Range with a full tank of gas - C215

Hi guys, what is your range with a full tank of gas with these cars?
I think mine consumes a tad to much, as no matter if driven veeeery slowly and avoiding boost at all, or even with mixed load and a few kick-downs in between a tank of gas, i get 20L per 100km. Thats around 12MPG. Thats with AC off. With AC on its even more IIRC.

My range with a very filled up tank is between 370km and 400km. Thats around 230 to 250 US miles.
Driving is mostly city and some "outside the city" streets, rarely Autobahn.

I remember that as i was picking up my car, i did 10-12L/100km during the some hundred km on the Autobahn, thats between 23.5mpg and 19.6mpg.

What are your experiences? My Plugs are like new, Air Filters too, Motor-Oil aswell, etc. I ordered now two front O2 sensors, hopefully it will change that high MPG a bit.

Yes 23.5 mpg and 19.6 mpg is the correct fuel consumption, that's roughly what I get.

I just road tripped to Kentucky from Texas, then Texas to Iowa and my average was 21 to 23.7 mpg's. You said you're driving mostly city right? If so that could be problem. I live in the country so don't have a city only average but my city/hwy combined is usually 18-20 mpg's.

Thanks you two. While the consumption is also to high IMHO, whats more annyoing is the constant re-fueling at the fuel stations after just so few miles/kilometers...
EDIT: Yes i also dont have "real city" i also live in the country in a town with 2500people living here, so my drives are mostly from town to town for daily stuff like work, getting food and groceries, etc etc.

2002 Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG
I get a steady 25.0 mpg in my 2002 CL55 (non supercharged), I think that's great for the power it has and for the fun I have driving it.

Hmm, I only get 12-13 mpg mostly city/drag racing, occasional highway for a few miles. I also have a serious rear tire wear problem. I think these issues may be related, LOL.

THERE IS ONLY FRONT AND REAR TOE ADJUSTMENT OEM!

AT K-MAC WE SAW THE NEED AND MANUFACTURE PRECISELY ADJUSTABLE (SINGLE WRENCH, ON CAR) FRONT CAMBER AND CASTER AND REAR CAMBER (WITH EXTRA TOE) KITS.

CAMBER:Allows to actually change the tire contact angle, improving wear/traction.
CASTER: Resolves steering pull, increases steering response, with better turn in and high speeddirectional control. Along with improved anti dive/lift under brake and acceleration.

Alternative (for front only) is the inaccurate "one only position" offset fluted bolts. But these only offer .3 of one degree (1/8" / 3mm) and to change setting means labour intensive dis-assembly each time.

The K-MAC system offers 3 to 4 times the adjustment range with precise (ongoing) adjustment capability - adjustment being carried out accurately (under load direct on alignment rack).

It means also no more repeat trips to dealers or alignment shops trying to return vehicle to factory specs to resolve steering pull or premature, costly inner edge tire wear. The result of curb 'knock' damage worn bushings. load carrying, altering suspension height or fitting wide profile tires/wheels.

For the rear - there is available "Camber Arms" -
But these upper arms to reduce inner edge rear tire wear need to move top of tire outwards reducing essential clearance "top of tire to outer fender".

The K-MAC patented design bushings resolve this problem by adjusting lower, not upper arms (front and rear). They also replace the main (highest wearing) suspension bushes at the same time and have twice the load bearing area. With the front K-MAC bushings being 2axis/self aligning without the OEM oil filled/air voided bushes.

Result is improved brake/traction and steering response. Note - most aftermarket bushings (even though oil/air voids are deleted) wheel hop, loss of traction can increase. As today's multi link suspension arms are therefore restricted and can bind, lock up as they are prevented from travelling through their required arcs.

All kits come with instructions and bush extraction/insertion tubes
MB World Member Heiss Rod has kindly provided step by step picture sequence re front bush installation.

Cool suspension parts. I'll probably buy them from you when I see signs of wear, but I was not alluding to an alignment issue. I meant I get bad mileage & tire wear because I never go anywhere without marking my path. Kind of like Hanzel & Grettel but I use rubber from my Continental DW's.
