Kleeman Headers are in but need advice

Hello guys n gals, in addition to EC smaller blower pulley, EC Tune, EC IC, Belt Wrap, and K&N air filters, now in are Kleeman shorty headers with mid length pipe. I'm in NY so California emissions equipment must be on car in order for muffler/exhaust shop to connect the headers to the remainder of the stock exhaust. In other words they won't weld up the exhaust unless there are cats in the exhaust stream. So going the route of one pair of cats (deleting second pair) connected to stock resonators etc. Eurocharged is deleting the CEL.
Is it recommended to use flex tubing after the headers so the engine torqueing on exhaust headers is minimized to avoid the primary tubes welds to crack? Wisdom appreciated. Thank you.

No, never use flex pipe in a longitudinally mounted engine.

Why not? It's recommended around here quite a bit.

Sounds like you need a performance exhaust shop.

Yes, indeed

Ok, Tomorrow the same exhaust shop is deleting the primary cats by hooking up the Kleeman mid-pipes to the Kleeman shorty headers. As most of you already understand there's a major bottle-neck where the stock exhaust manifolds meet the primary cats. What remains after the mid pipe are the stock secondary cats, stock resonators and mufflers).
They won't do all cats deleted. This is fine due to that having no cats allows for a stinky exhaust, excessive bark, and drone.
Jerry at EuroCharged emailed the revised tune (with headers) and CEL delete.
I'll keep all posted on the result.

Didn't have a chance to see car but this is what the installer described: The up- stream O2 sensors were screwed in to the Kleeman header O2 sensor bungs, the primary cats were retained but the bottleneck leading to the cats were cut off, and they were welded and bolted to Kleeman Headers flange, then comes the Kleeman mid pipes with down stream O2 sensors, flex pipe on both sides (he wasn't able to place flex pipes near headers), deleted secondary cats, to stock resonators and mufflers. Tomorrow update.
