Opinions vary. If the car comes back running how it should it is worth every cent. Everything done to it was done properly and with the best parts and fabbed to perfection. The ONLY issue has been in the tune as its the first of its kind. Once the tune is nailed down the car will be one seriously bad *****.
Simple facts are its the cleanest one out there, its one of the rarest out there, it has more and better parts than any other W216 out there, as it sits it makes more power than any W216 CL65 out there and once Andy gets the tune dialed in it will be very quick to match its very fast ability.

I know you love a good "i told you so" or any chance to be as negative as you can but get over it. Yeah, SpeedDriven dropped the ball and if Marcin does not give me back the money he promised to I am gonna blast the hell out of him and his company but if he is a man of his word I will let sleeping dogs lay. Its a modded car, crap happens.

Now as far as Marcin and Speedriven he has done some very fine work from a hard parts standpoint. Yes he fell short on the tuning but before I continue anything with Speedriven I am awaitig his response to see if he lives up to his word. If he does then we will consider this a learning experience. If he does not then we will go another route. But even Eurocharged is having problems completing the tune due to the complexity of the W216. I am not chewing their head off and am trying not to bother them to let them figure it out. The W216 is nowhere near as simple as the W215 in terms of tuning which has been the only issue. Eurocharged may crack it, they may not. I will afford them the opportunity to try.

As for the Mclarem, I dont want one. If I did I would buy it. I like the old Vette but I have owned over 400 cars and it may go away and I may go the simple 8 second route and get an Alpha GTR. Who knows. The CL may come back being the fire breathing beast I paid for and I will keep it. Its all up in the air. For now I have my old Vette back nad am gonna play with it and for peanuts I am going to mod it to 800+ HP as I have done so many times in the past. Easy and cheap cars to work on. I may keep both or I may keep none. For now I have other things to work on like buying a second building for my company and going back to Maui to stay at my house there to unwind for a bit and get away from all this crap.

Well the car is supposed to be done. Eurocharged has really been great. They rented a track tomorrow so I can test the car out and see if she performs like shes supposed to. Looking forward to seeing results.

Hopefully you know how to point and shoot that car down the strip. Lol, good luck today. Make sure your tire pressure is close to 20 lbs or lower, otherwise you'll be spinning that beast. How about the latest dyno numbers so we can bench race or guess-timate what you will run. If not, I'm sure you will share the results afterwards. I hope it works out today.

If it's pulling cleaning, then the numbers are much better than the detuned 620 whp from last time. I guess we will see. Maybe 132mph traps in that big pig will put a smile on your face. Have fun.

It only trapped 131. LOLZ

The car pulls like a freight train now and no limp mode problems. Stall is too low to get up on boost for a great launch so can only muster a 1.7 60' time and a 7.2 1/8 but its doing 130-131 like clock work (did like 15 runs) at a dead nuts consistent 11.1 time. So I know at Ennis I will get a ten second pass out of it.

It was an expensive learning experience though because the AC comp shuts down at WOT but in staging you are at 4-5k and partial throttle so the AC comp stayed on. By the last pass I lost the lobes on the AC compressor so its at Benz now getting that taken care of.

When I get home I will try and get the videos processed and post some up. Andy and Adam were great, wish I could remember the other guys names but we had a BBQ and all. Had 4 AMGs running non stop for several hours. Was a lot of fun.

But shes heavy as heck so she will never be a very quick car but roll her from 40 and she is an animal. Just plants you in the seat hard core.

Congratulations, it sounds like the car is making some good power and proved to be consistent. On a heavy car, your trap speeds say it all. The slower 60ft times saved you from breaking parts, you should be thankful. You will start snapping parts. Sometimes it happens with less power. I'm sure it feels like king of the road. Head to the Texas mile 196mph, might put a smile on your face. If I'm off by 1 mph again, I don't think you will be mad. Enjoy the beast after a year of waiting for completion.

A little over actually. 28 Mustangs, 8 Corvettes, 18 Mark VIIIs, 7 RX7s, 2 Ferraris, 4 Porsches, 24 Cadillacs, 4 Benz, 6 BMWs, 3 Jags and countless other cars along the years. I usually have between 4-7 on hand at any moment. I very often dont keep them long. I have car ADD. I buy something shiny, play with it then sell it and play with something else.
Same reason I have 9 drones, 5 RC airplanes and a crap ton of RC trucks that will all do over 60 MPH. I am just a big kid.

You dont know me. I am a real friendly outgoing guy that likes to have fun. But being you dont know me, dont come at me sideways like you know anything about me. I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else here. I am simply documenting a build and the problems along the way in hopes that people that take on such a project in the future have a better idea of what to do and what not to do and what can realistically be expected.

I've done some work on projects near his performance shop. Although I've never met him in person, from what I've seen firsthand, I'm inclined to believe.

Actually now that I think about it I have really slacked off since buying the CL65. Since I bought it 13 months ago I have only bought the following:

not meant as criticism at all, but that equals 104. That's a far way for "over 400." if you are counting drones and radio controlled toys as cars, that's not really fair... and if any of the cars were dealer inventory cars, that's the same kind of deal. Brag on the forums all you want. Again, totally don't know you and don't really care about online forum claims about prosperity. Please don't take my attention to numbers personally.

The real reason I posted is because I wanted to confirm that you bought speedriven's entire catalog and youre still running 11s? Id be concerned. That car has to be somewhere in the very low 12s bone stock.

just wanted to add that your car is beautiful.

I was not counting RC cars and drones. And that was just a sliver of the cars I have had. There have also been 3 3000GT VR4. 2 stealth RT Turbo, 2- Talon TSi, 6 Eclipse GSX, 3 Eclipse GST, 4 Z32 (300Z TT), 2- RX8s, 2 350z, QX45, QX35, GS300, GS400, IS250, 10 Buick GS (weird 3800 series phase), 4 Bonneville SSEi, 6 Grand Prix GTPs, 6 Continentals, 9 Town cars, 4 Lincoln LS, 4 Explorers, 3 Grand Wagoneers, 3 Caprices, 4 Crown Vics, 2 Marauders, 4 Grand Cherokees, 11 F-150s, 2 Silverados, 2 Sierras, 5 Jeeps, 2 Acura RLs, 3 Mercury Capris (two Fox and one little FWD convertable), 2- Audi S4s, 1 RS6, 2 XRti-4, 3 EXPs (dunno why to this day), 3 Tempos, 4 Escorts, Jeep Jeepster, 3 S-10s, 2 Syclones, 3 or 4 Rangers (I forget) and just so many others its nuts.
I had only listed the more interesting stuff at first. This list is less interesting. The remainder is even less interesting like Terrcels and Celicas and various other POS cars.

As for the SD catalog the only two things I didnt get is the built motor or stand alone. But the car is just too heavy to be a quarter car. Its trap speed shows that. Its much more impressive doing 60-200 than 0-100.

I am still planning on entering it in the Texas Half Mile in November, doing the Texas Mile and going to TX2K18 which is really what this car is all about. Pure speed, not stop light to stop light running. Its a giant GT car with all its power available at 3k RPM. It was ment for big open roads, not tiny short stretches. Its ability to hit 200 with such swiftness still amazes me.
