It was on the 210 East in Pasadena/La Canada last night. It had aftermarket chrome wheels, a loud exhaust, and it had the 03 and newer tail lights. It was a CL55.
From 75-140 we were neck and neck. I was in my black cobra convertible with the blue/white HID's. we ran a couple of times with similar results.

The Cobra Mustangs have an Eaton Roots-style supercharger with 390 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 390 foot-pounds of torque at 3,500 rpm. Despite this, even my 400 HP Ferrari Modena can't keep up with the CL55. There's no way the Mustang stayed with the CL55.

I have raced a 360 in my e55 and dusted him.

The Ferrari 360 Modena lacks torque and its not that fast of a straight line car. Its replacement how ever will destroy the compition the 420/430 monza numbers not decided yet Ferrari bought both names. 500+ HP and close to 450+ lb/torque to match the Gallardo then the Maranello replacement should be really quick as well. The Cl55 is a quick machine but I think a CL600 RENNtech would be a better choice. The Cobra most likely (not calling you a liar) stayed even with him and might have passed matters who jumped the gun quicker. Next time get this on tape.....

And he jumped the gun, he was coming from behind @ full throttle and then I mashed it when he was a car back. The second time we were side by side and we went @ the same time.

There are definately some fast mustangs out there, so I don't doubt your results. I ran into this dork in a totally souped up Saleen.I was behind him in the CL, and he was going the speed limit in the fast lane. No big deal, so I signal to go around him and as soon as my car is half way in the next lane, he guns it. His car was loud as hell and sounded very healthy. I said to myself, what the hell is this clown thinking, and I gun it when I get in my lane. I swear to god it was like God himself came down and held on to his car cus I was about 3 cars behind him and by the time I hit 120,I was about 5 cars ahead of him! I smoked him so bad that I slowed down for him to catch up and he would not pull up, just lagged behind. About 2 miles after that, he pulled up and I looked him in the eye, but he would not look at me, just at the car, saying "what the hell is that car", then he turned off.
Anyway, back to the story at hand.
I was in the Pasadena area picking up something from Turners, and saw a black CL with chrome wheels, and the 03 tails, but I did not see the quad exhaust. The choice of wheels were not high on my list. Looked like something from Pimp my ride.

2003 CL55
I am not sure what the point of racing a 4300 lb. car against a car that probably weighs at least 1000 lbs less with much more RWHP is, but have fun and be safe.

Why can't everyone make it simple.
dgussin1 : If the person you are looking for is not responding, maybe he is a poser. So, Try posting the same thread on the CL500. If you think you are sure that the one you race is CL55, don't forget that there is possibility the CL500 has supercharge too. So, try posting at the CL500 forum.
Peace

What color was the car? Were you familiar with what type of chrome wheels it has? Just curious. I drive on that fwy on weekeneds and never had any CL runs. Well actually we did this one run when we had the Pasadena meet about a month ago or so and it was a CL500 not moded and he was acting all macho and tried to run with the AMG crew. It was pretty funny.
