Transmission screech?
Hey guys I noticed a weird screech coming from the transmission when I do a burnout or rolling burnout acceleration, at first I heard it when I did a burnout at the drag strip but it sounds like it could be the tires but I am not sure because today I did a rolling burnout and when I let go of the gas to get on the brakes I heard it again, also when the transmission changes gears it does feel a bit harsh not sure if thats just how it is.
Here is a video at the end you can hear the sound I am talking about:

I cut the videos and raised the volume just on the screech part so you can hear it better
The first video you can hear it quite well and compare to the 2nd one, it does happen right after the tires spin so just maybe its the sound the tires make when they are slowing down from spinning?

It is still the same screech sound I have always said but the way it does it in relation to the gears I'm in.
So what I did was this in all clips I floor it from 1st gear and I let go of the gas all the way right before it shifts and thats when the sound is the loudest, in another clip I let it shift to 2nd I let go of throttle and it barely makes the sound. The last clip is from the outside I believe I let go in 1st gear thats why its that loud.
Another thing to note is I did some donuts and it does not make the sound I did them in first gear shifted to 2nd back to 1st and no sound I peeled out and no sound, it only does it in a straight line if I just let go of the throttle after hammering it. To understand better you can keep an eye on the RPM's. Its so hard to tell because maybe letting go of the gas and the tires gripping is the sound it makes that would explain why its louder in 1st gear since the tires and spinning faster and in 2nd they already have more grip but at this point even my friend who was in the car with me said it could be the trans, let me know what you guys think. btw check engine is cats

Try the belt first it might do the trick. FCP Euro is a great place for parts. Thinking about it more makes me think it might be the AC Compressor kicking back in after you let off the throttle. Worn or Old belts could be the issue. I would get both belts first and run it with the A/C off.

Thats what a couple people have been telling me but I found this video and it sounds very similar to mine right after I do a burnout check 15-16 second mark for the sound

I have the dip stick for the transmission but how do I know when it reaches the bottom, for me it's either dry or maxed out passed the plastic part of the dip stick

Martin, your engine must idle to check the tranny oil level
