Was driving my new to me CL55 AMG and heard a loud popping noise , the abc red warning came on and luckily I was only a mile from home . Car became very unstable as if it had worn out struts, bouncing around. Left it parked for the night and the next morning the passenger side front had dropped Dow to within an inch of the tire. The rest of the car was sitting pretty much normal. Can anyone steer me into what may have happened. I’ve read numerous abc threads on here and it seems that most of the time all four corners are affected. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Before that happened did you get a quick red abc message when going over bumps?

no it happened when I was going around a corner at about 45 mph. No message at all until after the popping noise.

Check abc fluid level to see if it went down. If it did then maybe something broke and leaked fluid if not it might be a sensor or something I am not too familiar with the system problems. You might have better luck posting on the w215 section too.

yea fluid level way down but not empty , and can see it wet under the car on the passenger side.

It must have blown a line then.

i have only had the car for 2 weeks, 75,000 miles On it and the car is on immaculate shape, just my luck. Hose will be replaced then system flushed and new filter, if nothin else is wrong, the next time it fails it’s gone, coil over time. I will keep you posted and thanks for the replies.

Yeah the hose is what usually goes and same for me next thing that happens I'm switching to coils..

I'm on my third hose/line replacement and they can be a PIA. BUT the ABC is worth the hassle - car handles well - ride is very smooth - no body lean - front end can be raised for extra clearance - many pluses but some negatives too. A friend of mine with the same car as mine CL55 went the coil over route and I'm very unimpressed - much harsher ride and excessive body roll. I have discovered some shortcuts I'll pass along soon

850 dollars, replace hose/flush system/rodeo . Seems to ride fine.

You must have been close to home when your hose broke. If you would have had to drive any distance your pump would have had to be replaced also.
