Good news, We're good to go! Our total cost will be ~$1570, including shipping, shaft mod kit (I don't think I used mine last time, mine just went together with no machining... but results may vary), 2.5% US import, and credit card fee @ 2.8%. This INCLUDES the output shaft seals... Nice!
EU people, not sure how your import duties work, I think you have 20-30% VAT fees if I remember correctly.
Production lead time at quaife is 4 months from when we all submit payment.
Will post details on how to get in touch with Birds tomorrow!

OK, simple really:
You'll need to contact Bird's through their website's contact page, we have been requested to type "QDF29B Group Production" on their contact form's Comment Box, which is at the bottom (www.birdsauto.com/contact).
Once you do this, you'll be individually contacted with an invoice to be paid. I used credit card last time. They are producing a run of ten differentials as a result of our 5 orders, so if there are users lurking, you can probably get away with messaging them in the same manner as above.
Please post once you do this, so we can keep tabs on progress.
Fun fact- I just checked my previous invoice for my last w215 diff from Bird's, and the total was 1460 pounds (in 2022), whereas our current price is about 1270 pounds. Fantastic discount.

Check your E-Mail inbox over the next few days! You will likely be asked what form of payment you prefer (wire or credit card), then sent an invoice to be paid. I went with credit card because I find wiring money annoying, especially internationally.

I just contacted birds auto for this LSD for my CL65. Unfortunately this was before finding this forum post. haven't logged on in years lol. Do they need me to put that group buy thing to understand?

They will start making the batch when there is 5 customers paid. There is 4 now. I would assume that they tell you that. If not just send another email to them. They answer quite quickly.

That would be thanks to us, lol. They needed 5 preorders to make a new run of 10 differentials! Last I heard from Birds, they have over 650 orders with Quaife open right now, they're super busy... Good for them!

Bird's expects to receive units at the end of July, and they've cautioned US recipients of a potential 25-30% tariff. I don't personally mind... that's what, $400?
