You are kidding right? Please dont tell me you think the IDRIVE is easy to use.
Whomever thought up the IDRIVE system needs to be punched in the face. My girlfriend drove a 645 for a weekend and almost wrecked it messing the Idrive system.
MB's Command isnt the easiest to use but at least you can use it without having to take a two hour class.

The 6 is a cool looking car but the interior is cheap and cheezy looking. Granted the CL is 20 grand more so it SHOULD have a better interior and more luxurious feel to it.

Dude...this guy's like a 14 year old kid who's never even been *in* these cars in all likelihood...ignore him. He's getting stuff off the web and acting like he knows what's up, but he's a wannabe and a troll.

anyone know when the m6 is due out? I swore I saw one the other day on the 101/23 freeway in Thousand Oaks going the opposite way. Couldn't really get a clear look because it was semi-disguised (front bumper, side skirts, and wheels were blacked out on a bluish/silver car), but the front resembled the new m5 front. Regardless, the design of the 6 doesn't really appeal to me. I thought the front resembled a sperm whale since I first saw it.

BMW says the M cars usually come out two years after the corresponding regular model. That would have first US deliveries starting in the spring of 2006. Or, you could figure it'll be a year after the M5 deliveries start. That would mean the fall of 2006. There is no official word from BMW at this point.

What an exciting thread here which I missed
I have seen the photo of new generation CL, there is absolutely NO FRIGGING WAY that the M6 can match MB's next generation flagship CL's class and status symbol. I shall leave the gentlemen here who can afford one to sort out their preference of engine and performance. The M6 is just another 850 joke. Anyone will believe you own a M6 so long you stick a BMW badge to any ugly cars you can find on Earth.
Sorry about I did not go into details, I just been always a big fan of the CL.
It is an insult to compare the most beautiful car on Earth(CL) with the ugliest car ever designed by BMW.

Very sporty looking but does not look like a 1.7 million HK$ car to me at all. I can do the same effect with the Toyota Supra except the Supra is better looking than the 6.

May be the 6 is less ugly than the 7 because it is smaller.
May be it is because its black color hiding the ugly details.
The smaller size than the 7 you make the car to be, the less ugly.
So the 3 may be even 'less ugly' but still ugly.

The 3 , the 6 , were all designed based on same concept from the ugly mothers z4 and 7 models. I read the 7 ugly mother 's facelift is just launched. True, this generation BMW, all need plastic surgery quick.

I am a MB and BMW fans. I once owned 325i and still owns the Z3. This generation of BMW cars just stopped me completely to think of buying one. Or at least, not that kind of price tag that we pay in HK, we deserve something we want to enjoy looking at it more and more , day by day.

Just personal views.
Attached two live photos I saw the 6 in a show.

I cant accpet the 6 has such a long hood and short boot, looks a tad outta proportion from the outside, nontheless, the M6 will be a blast of a car to drive I am sure, but CL for me once more if I had to choose

Honestly , I am just a normal person, I feel what you said the "outta proportion from the outside" of the boot really look like something 'extra' that like you place some junk wing on the back - like an ugly ask makes me really sick. You can say that 's fine for a saloon , but why BMW keep that ugly back on a supposed to be a smart looking 6 series sports.
BMW can make brilliant fun to drive cars, but it does not mean they should make the world us to accept something ugly for the sake of the BMW logo.

I have to admit,I have very mixed feelings about the M5,but after driving a rental 645 in LA ,I'm really considering changing my order to M6.
