when I get my hands on the M6 and send it in to get supercharged we will see who will be the winner.
Remember you said its stupid to do modified cars against unmodified cars. Well a supercharger or turbos would be fine because remember the AMG uses forced induction. Get ready for the dust in your face.
First thing I'm gonna do when I get that M6 is turbo the damn thing or just supercharge it. If a BMW tuner offers it then I'll go to them and then I'll race any damn 55 or 600 out there.

Also if we took the cars out to a nice curvy racetrack the M6 would destroy and I mean absolutely man handle the E55 and S55 and CL55 in every way.

Face it the new BMW M cars are SUPERCARS while the MB AMG's are turbocharged or supercharged forced induction variants. The forced induction cars should win and they mostly always do. It says something about BMW engineering if they can create actual supercars without forced induction and if they did use forced induction well then... can somebody say MB killer in every field of performance.
Keep these two distinctions seperate BMW M not using forced induction MB AMG using forced induction. The BMW M is the supercar and the AMG is the "modified" car.

Remember this the M is the art of Naturally Aspirated. The AMG is the art of forced induction. Of course one will be more powerful then the other (the forced induction) but the naturally aspirated is not as easy to build in order to get fast acceleration and high speeds.
The M is a "purer" driver while the AMG is the forced induction roarer.
BMW can just as easily decide to ditch their philosophy of not using forced induction and create cars that can blow the 65's out the door. But they won't because for BMW driving is more then acceleration or top speed it is the art of being the Ultimate Driving Machine.
BMw builds the true supercars while MB builds the forced induction rivals.
Although one will always be faster it simply wil never deliver that pure driving experience.
Improviz I think you meant to say Enemy instead of enema but anyway remember these two distinct philosophies that make one company the pure ultimate driving machine and the other the forced induction masters.

I would buy the new M6. Just because CL-class is too old. It has been released in 2000, so its already 5 years since it was released. The new M6 is fabulous! If you give me a choice between 05 CL 55 or CL600 and BMW M6, I would go for M6. I think its as fast as CL600, maybe even faster, it looks really fantastic. As all BMWs it will be fantastic drivers car.

Styling in the 6-series is amazing. It kills the CL which looks old instead of the supposed classic. The curves in the 6 are amazing the new modern interior is even better.
The M6 takes this to the performance asepct also.

M6 0-60
I think the 0-60 will be much quicker. As stated on BMWUSA.com the 0-60 was 4.5 I think it will be more like 4.3 or 4.4 faster then the E55.
The 1/4 mile will be more like 12 seconds.

Considering the M6 runs a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds (it is conservative) and has a top speed of 205 miles per hour when de-limited just think what the M6 CSL will bring to the table.
A still luxurious car with lightning speed. The 5.0 liter v-10 in the M6 will be moved to 5.5L. The 500 horsepower will be upgraded to 550. The weight will be stripped down.
If you consider the change from the 645Ci to the M6 you get these numbers. A .9 second 0-60 difference. the 645Ci hits it in 5.5 and the M6 in 4.6
Now BMW is not just improving the engine but they are cutting a lot of weight from the car. I would expect an 11 or 12 second difference to 60 m.p.h. So we do the math and we get approximately 3.4-3.7 seconds. Yes that is approaching super car territory.
The 1/4 mile shold be done in extremely low 11's stock or maybe even high 10's. Again hitting suepercar area with top speed of probably in excess of 215 mph!!!!
