About to buy these wheels.
Hi,
I am about to buy these wheels by Giovanna.
The wheels are the Giovanna Mecca in Black with a polished lip.
Before I buy them, I wanted to ask if anyone has had any issues with these wheels and/or even the company itself.
The pics are of my car however the wheels in the pic are Graphite color, I am going to get them in Black. Car is lowered.
They are 20x8.5 et35 Front and 20x10 et42 Rear.
I already have brand new Hankook Ventus V12's that I had bought for my SL however I just decided to stay with stocks on the SL.
Tires are 255/35-20 and 285/30-20
What do you guys think? Any comment/suggestion is appreciated.
God Bless,
BR34K3R

Thanks for your comment. What would you consider a good alternative? I am kind of trying to avoid too full of a face, even though CL are kind of "Big Body" I am trying to avoind wheels S-Class style wheels (hard to explain).

Tried to find a similar style. I do like these, and once lowered, it would be clean!

Those do look nice but a little to close to my originals, also I am a little concerned about quality of the wheels.
I would love to go 3pcs, however I would rather spend that extra money on performance mods.

I dont know why im having so much trouble finding some wheels for this car, i found wheels for my porsche so easily.
The first wheel is unique (which I like), as in its not on too many cars, but its too open looking.
Second wheel that you suggested is also nice but too close to the originals.
Third wheel looks really cheap, low grade.
I've looked at the whole mandrus line but didn't really find anything. Soon as I find something I remotely like, a quick google will lead me to 50+ other cars with the same wheels.
Not too many choices, without going forged that is.
thanks for your input, if you browsing around and you notice something nice please send it my way.
thanks

Thanks for your opinion. The CL is a hard car to find wheels for, it is a big car but at the same time it is very sporty looking car. I think the original wheels look good but they are too small looking especially when the car is lower.
I think i'll look at some REP's in a larger size, that might fit the bill.

I think your first choice is nice. Go with what you like and not what others think is nice. Its your car mod it the way you see fit. I honestly really like your first choice. Defo different!!

It think it looks much better in person very big while looking semi deep dish and it shows of the calipers beautifully. It is also classified as a light weight wheels which was why I asked about peoples experience with the wheels (bending, warping)

It sounds like you've found the wheels you want. To answer your questions i havent heard any bad things abt Giovanna wheels. As long as you dnt track your car and avoid potholes you should be fine. They will look badass. Black on black is the way to go!

Noticed the Need4Speed sign there. If that's where you are shopping, they are extremely helpful. All their sales reps have over 8-10 years experience in the wheel industry so I am sure they will be more then happy to show you other styles of wheels. Good luck with your purchasing experience!

I'm glad you got the wheels instead of listening to these guys. They look nice to me. I wouldn't have chosen them for this car but it's not my car. Giovanna has others I would have chosen over these, like the Califive. I have been buying aftermarket wheels since the 80's. Never heard of any failures by Giovanna. None at all. This is a 2 piece cast wheel that's not super heavy. Five spokes are timeless and it's in the modern concave style. Cost is reasonable. I see no downside.
We require more pics though.
