MTB A45

MTB A45 gets 420hp!!

0-100km gets into 3.9sec.

Now that is fast.

It seems with upgrade turbo, arifilter, etc

Wow! I knew the aftermarket was going to do serious things with these engines. Are you planning on getting a tune? I took back my deposit on the CLA45 AMG, but I'm pretty sure i would have had lots of fun with it. I'm waiting for the new 2015 C63 AMG. It'll be out by the middle of next year.

Hiro do you have any more info on this tune, nothing seems to come up from MTB.

Does it require a turbo upgrade or is it tune only ?? I thought up to 450bhp could be extracted from the current set up without having to touch or modify the engines main components.

Look forward myself to seeing the next gen C Class AMG's, especially the coupe which probably won't arrive for another couple of years yet

I wonder how long they'll keep the '63' in the name tags of new AMG models since that engine will soon be discontinued across the board and certainly no longer feature in the new C Class AMG's.

This will be something for sure but I will wait until I get more to choose. Specially Calrrson. I dont want to change turbo. Just want to do tuning box and down pipe.

Nice choice for 2015 C63 AMG!! I know it will be a great car.

So they call up a turbocharger upgrade, interesting seeing that the Carlsson tune alleges more power with their tune without touching the stock turbo.

In time we'll see exactly what these tunes and others are really all about.

That's a good decision. If i were you, Carlsson would be my choice because their upgrade program doesn't include changing turbos. I think it's only software & claiming more power also.

420hp with a changed turbo is sad. You can easily get more power with a tune by itself. Sounds bogus to me. The stock turbo is good for at least 450 HP.
