My CLA45 AMG European Delivery
It's a tad bit late, but I've been back from Europe for a few weeks already and I finally was able to upload some pictures.
I custom ordered my CLA45 AMG for European Delivery quite some time ago. While I tried to get an earlier delivery date, I was advised by my dealer and European Delivery that I couldn't pick up the car until after April 1. So, I decided to fly to Rome for Easter then pick up the car in Sindelfingen and drive the car around. I ended up going from Sindelfingen to Affalterbach to Spa to the Nurburgring to Cologne to Frankfurt to Wurzburg to Prague to Dresden and then to Berlin.
It was a significantly more ambitious trip than my last European Delivery, but it was fantastic.
The car was great, I broke it in on the Autobahn and really nailed it during the entire time. I put over 1,200 miles on the car and it was fantastic. The engine is great, the brakes are fantastic, the transmission wasn't the greatest, but for some reason it felt significantly better than the first CLA45 AMG that I test drove back in November. My top speed on the Autobahn was approximately 275km/h or about 170mph. Car handled like a champ.
Mercedes-Benz and AMG treated me very well. The Center of Excellence was awesome in delivering the car and the private tour of AMG from Gerhard was great.
Overall a fantastic experience once again. I'm looking forward to doing my next European Delivery soon!
