Why does the CLA 45 produce a better 0-60 time at 4.4 seconds with 355 hp while c450 supposedly will get 4.9 seconds at 362 hp? Is it the turbo engine of CLA 45?

Which car will be more fun to drive? CLA has the outdated interior.

my old 07 STI had out dated interior like every Subaru but was a hell of a lot of fun to drive. cant always judge by the interior.
so if your looking for a quick agile car 45 AMG is the one.

The CLA45 is lighter and smaller and also has AWD. I do not believe the C450 has that? I could be wrong? Also the Engine of the AMG has the M133 engineis the most powerful series production four-cylinder turbocharged engine and has one of the highest power density for a passenger vehicle and it is a record as well I believe.

As far as interior goes both of them are nothing special inside..

Pretty simple really, the C450 is significantly heavier than the CLA45. The 45 has been tested at as low as 4.1-4.2 seconds to 60mph, and I wouldn't be surprised if the C450 managed a 4.3-4.3 either.

FYI, both cars are turbocharged, with the C450 actually being a twin turbo setup, vs the 45 utilizing a single, twin scroll turbo.

The 45 will almost definitely be the 'more fun' car to drive, having a better suspension, better brakes, lower weight etc. However the 450 will be much more luxurious, with a more performance oriented 4matic (sends more power to the rear than the 45), and in my opinion, from a highway roll, will be faster than the 45 due to its substantially higher torque.

I do not understand the point of a mid-way AMG. 3 letter AMG makes me shake my head. If nothing on the C450 is made from the in house tunner AMG then how can it be AMG? Even thou all AMG's start out as a normal MB it still does not justify to me calling the C450 a AMG.

The C450 does have 4matic; in fact, it will only come in 4matic.

While your facts regarding the record holder for power density and 4cyl output is true, they have relatively nothing to do with how fast a car is. What matters is the power/weight ratio, gearing, transmission and to a lesser extent aerodynamics.

The C450 bears no AMG badging. There are very small "AMG Sport" badges on the front fenders but this aesthetic component may not even make it to production cars.

It is officially called the C450 AMG Sport. BMW has been churning out "M Sport" cars for years. Audi has their S-line cars (S3, S4, etc.) to bridge the gap between A-line cars and RS-line cars.

Also, Mercedes Benz claims that the C450's suspension is loosely based off the suspension on the new W205 C63.

The new W205 C63 will not be known as a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. It will instead be known as a Mercedes AMG C63 (future AMG models will also adopt this nomenclature emphasizing AMG first).

Not the first time Merc has used that the AMG Sport name. My W211 2006 E350 was an "AMG Sport" model. It came with AMG wheels, AMG exhaust pipe tips ( for a while the regular E's exhausts was not visible ), a slightly stiffer suspension and a little badge on each side that read Sport.

Good point.

I did not know that. I was aware that there were AMG Sport models in the European/non-North America markets prior to the C450 AMG Sport.

About that C450????
Just traded my 09 C350 for the new C4x4. So far so good, the responsiveness of the car car is not bad minus a few features that I wished Merc would have carried over. Such as the responsiveness of the gearbox, to be honest the C350 was more responsive in sports mode when manually shifting through the gears. With that, what is the deal with that new C450 bridging the gap between the C4x4 and the C63 Mercedes Benz AMG, is this necessary? From a personal prospective, the C4x4 will probably keep up with the C4.5x4, with the right driver at the helm, any thoughts?????
