C63 BS Style Carbon Fiber Hood Installed!

Love it!!! Waiting on the trunk to arrive to decide how to paint it, but even unpainted it looks great. Fitment is perfect, just like OEM. Thanks so much to Neil at moderncarbonfiber.com for the assistance and fitment guarantee, great customer service as well.

It's double sided, UV coated, clear coated and won't green or yellow.

After letting it idle for a while I can see heat coming through the hood extractors so that's definitely a bonus!

Very nice and unique! Are you going to paint it, or possibly paint it leaving a carbon fiber stripe? What are the weight savings?

That looks great! It's nice to see that this has perfect Fitment and looking forward to seeing it painted. I'll likely be going this route if nothing else catches my eye.

Just wondering what you do to prevent rain water from entering the engine compartment.

It looks like a perfect fit.

I hate painting carbon fiber hood because is so nice to look at the material. But on this case unfortunately it doesn't match with the car.

Thank you. There are optional water catchers (not sure what they're called) that you can get that capture any incoming water. Personally I don't see an issue with any water coming in. You should be able to blast your engine compartment with pressurized water to clean it without having any issues so I personally don't see a few drips being an issue.

I think it would have to be raining pretty hard to even see any water inside the engine compartment. I was out for a few hours post install yesterday in light rain and after coming home popped the hood to check everything out and I didn't see any water.
