new cla 45 to get power upgrade

i just read this today. sucks to be an early adopter. and especially with the cla 45 shooting brake just coming out, a new upgraded one will be out in less than a year. i would be pissed if i purchased the first run of them.
while i know that it usually happens with all cars, to happen in under a year makes it less palatable

True for the a45. Not so for the cla45 and gla45. They have only been released in Australia for a year or so and with back orders most have taken months to get their cars. The power up grade issue affects the shooting brake buyers moreso as they have only just come out this month and the new kore powerful one will be released with the next few months. Tough luck for those that have ordered the first allotments

The technical upgrades from the 2016 a class mid cycle refresh have been confirmed to be coming to the cla and gla 45's, most likely for MY 2016.

yes, thats correct. in australia, if u order a cla shooting brake, then its a few months waiting list. the first allotment have arrived, and the "lucky" punters that put their money down early have started to receive their cars this month. those that didnt make the first allotment will probably get theirs in october. they will miss out on the power upgrade.
its a guess when the upgraded ones will land in oz, so for those interested, they have no idea when to place an order.

At least they threw it in a new model year change. When I took delivery of my 2010 C63, they released the development pack with more power and SLS internals the week after I picked up the car for remaining 2010 builds. Mid year updates are worse lol.

Ehh, 21 hp doesn't mean much to me. The transmission is another thing sort of, but I couldn't build a new CLA the way I built mine.
Would cost another 4 grand *and* I couldn't keep my Red/black Dinamica interior. Also, the power mods I have are more than enough fun. So I'm not really feeling bad.
