I havent seen anything on weight yet but id say its safe to say it will weigh much less than a C63.
This car would most likely give a stock C63 a run for its money. Maybe a simple tune will take this 4cyl beast up to 400 crank HP. That matched with the 4matic and the DCT should make for a fun ride. How about a bigger turbo and DP. I wonder how much is left in it.
At 47K sticker it leaves a LOT of room to play if you want a toy to dump money into.
Thoughts?

I'm curious about weight as well. I've read some early reports that put it in the 3300 to 3400 lbs range. I think I'll be ordering one!

Early reports already have the 0-60 faster than the C63. This while boasting 35mpg.
We all know a tune will ramp up the boost as well.

Curious as to what the block/internals are made of and what the tranny can really hold. I'm betting those will be largely the limiting factor along with the displacement increasing turbo lag issues the large you go.
Been there done that on the big turbos. Sure, they are fun for highway pulls but for daily driving around town I'd keep a smaller turbo setup

The weight might be close to the TTRS which has similar HP and TQ #'s(yes, not a very scientific method). In DSG form it pulled a 3.6 to 60 and a 12.1 1/4 mile. I'd be surprised if the CLA45 was that fast. My guess is real world times will be around 4.1 to 60 and 12.5ish 1/4 mile. I'd be surprised if it's faster than the C63 in stock form. Either way I still want one!

I agree that 360 out of a 2L has got to be pushing the envelope.. but MB has certainly surprised us before. They still have to design (tune) their cars for all kinds of climates and conditions and pretty much HAVE to leave something on the table for tune only gains. With upgraded cooling, turbos, intake, and others I can see 450+ Hp out of this 2L... which is just NUTS!!

To stock turbo might be at its limit but I am sure with a bigger turbo much more power can be squeezed out of the 4cyl.

4.6 is about equal to the C63 0-60 and thats with sticky tires in warm weather. In cold weather the C63 has a hard time hooking up and the AWD will walk it every time. Add another
50HP and the CLA could be sub 4 sec 0-60. Dont forget its going to shift a hell of a lot faster than the C63 as well.
The 1/4 mile hasnt been disclosed yet, at least I couldnt find it anywhere. Nothing official. I am excited to see what it does. The torque curve is really nice in the CLA.
I agree the CLA has nicer curves.

Dont see how much more a tune can pick up since its already pushing alot of boost. Awd is cool for 0-60 times but up top it robs power. Also its mostly FF, which could ruin it.
Should still be a fun car for DD i guess. I'll have to try it
