I've heard that the wait list is approaching 2 years. Can anyone confirm this?

not true, maybe 6 months... the only package that is backordered is the carbon fiber exterior package and night styling rear package

You heard wrong, Feb or March delivery 14 for orders placed now! This was from my Chicago connection. Problem is, do I want to take a 14 model in late spring when 15s will be out in late summer?

It depends on the Country in question, I wouldn't be surprised if the wait is that long in some parts of the World.

Here in Australia the wait for an AMG A Class is at around 7 months from time of order, but my dealer has told me there's no guarantees as they only have a set number of alotments for the whole Country over a 12 month period so if that alotment number is reached for those 12 months the wait time could blow out to much longer.

That's what I thought. MB Laguna Niguel was only allotted 6, which needless to say are already cleaned out. Their wait list is growing like mad.

I have read many australian reviews for the CLA and A 45 they said the wait list for the A45 is at 18 months in almost every article. My sales rep said you cannot order a CLA 45 until 2014 now.....


I was lucky he gave me his wifes order, our dealer only had 2 cars period. One is waiting in the port of Baltimore until the official release and mine will be out of production on 11/15

Night package, CF, and a few other options won't even be available until Jan/Feb order date. That's why the error is there.

Spoke to a large dealer in the SF Bay area last weekend. They said they were allocated 5 for MY14 and first 2 has been sold. the 3rd one is available for order and will be delivered between March and June of 2014. The salesmen recommended waiting till May to order the MY15 model saying it would be delivered in August of 14, 1 MY newer and may have some additional options/features and possibly more freedom on pricing.

Yes that is correct but as above depending on exact location, in the case
for Australia it depends which dealer and where has whichever allocation of vehicles in some remote parts they have none so the wait period can be that long.

If I wanted one here and now my wait would be 7-8 months from my dealer in Melbourne because they've secured a certain number of vehicles for their MY13-14.

The situation is compounded by the overall demand of all variants for the A Class which makes the supply of the AMG variants harder.

It's little wonder MB is rushing the building of more production plants around the World to keep up with the new A Class demand

Yea, I placed an order for myself, it probably won't be filled until June... but you can definetly get into the order que now...

I waited until we had 7 orders in, as a dealer employee we had to wait... I sold my boxster spyder a few months back, the CLA45 AMG will be my new track toy for VIR and Summit point. I assume it will be like my Nissan GTR was in a way, just 80%

Maybe I'll get a cheapo something like an elise/ RX8 R3 or something to track for a few months while I wait

I've been around this block before with the C63 about 5 years ago. Everyone wanted the latest and greatest FIRST!! Those same guys were kicking themselves in the BUTT a few months later when the P30 with LSD and soon thereafter the P31 came out. This is exactly why I am in no rush to get the first of the CLAs.

Meh.. with the drivers package I'm not sure I'm worried about anything else... Mercedes is going to go away from the performance packages on amgs... offering the amg-s models like the cls and e63 AMG-S models.

Eventually there will be a black series.. but by then we may have moved on to other amgs.. oddly enough I like the gla45 amg...I may get that depending

Thank you. The only option that caught me by surprise was the panoramic roof. I can't believe this thing doesn't come with a standard sunroof.
