Interesting report from a German site: https://mbpassion.de/2021/12/mercede...cla-45-4matic/
It says the non-S models of the CLA 45 coupe and shooting brake will end production in November 2022.
The S models will continue to be produced and sold. I wonder if this means MBUSA will bring the S model to the USA, or if they will drop the model for the US market for MY23.

Thanks for sharing so basically this could be good news and bad news.
The good news is the former as you mentioned, or
The bad news is the latter as you mentioned.

On the other hand, if they don't offer either model in the USA for MY23 then your car will hold its value nicely.

Another way to potentially look at this is... there are some markets that offer the S and non-S models together. Maybe in those markets they are removing the non-S?

Mercedes is going to abandon the low end of the market. A 35 is already gone for the US.
A Class won't be replaced. I guess the CLA is next.

I don't think you have anything to worry about to be honest, instead look forward to receiving your car that you ordered.

The CLA 45s model will be more expensive than the CLA 45 anyways and on top of that, given how chip shortage continues, there is a possibility base price of the CLA 45 might go up making the CLA 45s even more expensive if they eliminate CLA 45. For reference (poor reference though) the C63s is 8K CAD more expensive than the C63.

Worse case is if CLA 45s does end up coming to USA and Canada, depending on what stage your current order is at, you might be able to choose to not pick up the vehicle when it arrives to the dealership.

Either way if you decide to keep your order, I hope everything goes smooth and that it arrives sooner than later so you can enjoy it.

I think they just want to eliminate some models to simplify their lineup, they might keep the CLA 35 actually because one of the reasons I think they got rid of the A 35 being the CLA 35 too similar to A 35 (and imo, just imo the CLA 35 looks better than the A 35 anyways) or if they choose to get rid of that too, they most likely keeping the GLA 35.

I think you're right because the CLA35 still shows up on MB USA website despite the A35 sedan being removed (and USA doesn't get the A35 hatch).

CLA 35 is still available in the US.
Mercedes is consolidating their model lineup, several models are going away or have already gone away.

Good news. The 2022 CLA 45 was released by MB for sale in the US today. Those of us who had cars at port (for 5 months in my case) have confirmation from our dealers that they have been released to carrier and are headed our way.

FINALLY!
