What tune to use?
Hi!
My car is coming in February after almost waiting a year! I'm looking at tune options, but have only found Renntech. Anyone using it or are there other options?

Hey Vaders, that’s crazy you have been waiting a year. I just ordered mine a few weeks ago and I’m being told sometime in April. I was wondering the same about a tune but was curious if it would void the warranty. Do you know?

Hey Zoomer!
Usual sema law applies. Manufacturer cannot void the warranty on the car because of the software. However, if the software were to cause engine damage then yes. Software companies such as RennTech and APR for Audi's have done a fantastic job extracting more power yet keeping the engine safe from damage. I have yet to have any problems with software, engine, or warranty issues.
Really, all I find is RennTech. I know they have an excellent reputation, but any other options before I pull the trigger? I ordered my Eventuri intake this morning.
As for the wait time, my dealer did not have an allocation for one until October /shrug. I have been waiting on my Ariel Atom 4 as well. It will be 2 years in April of this coming year...parts availability.

I have already ordered the Renntech. Eventuri intake is here, so once the car gets here, we'll see how it goes. Thanks for giving me the suggestion though. A side note, I have not seen anyone post dyno's or 1/4 mile times with these cars tuned or not. Where can I find that? Youtube has nothing as well. Shocked!

Hi
This is what Eurocharged has posted, but you can call them for a dyno sheet
STAGE 1
The Eurocharged engineers and calibrators create custom reprogramming of the engine control unit. This ECU software is developed on the dyno and verified with multiple runs and logs. All vehicle safety parameters remain untouched and will function as the manufacturer designed. Like all Eurocharged products, Stage 1 is perfectly safe and reliable for years of worry-free use.- Stock HP382HP
- Tuned HP475HP
- Stock TQ354ft/lbs
- Tuned TQ460ft/lbs
- CPC Tune RequiredContact

Still waiting on my car! The car was built on January 14th, 2022 and finally was assigned a vessel this past week. I would guess another 3 weeks or so until I get the car. Install looks very straight forward except that I do not have a way to bleed the water intercooler system and do not want to cause an air pocket. So I'll likely have the MB dealer do it. They said a hour to two to do it. I'll post back when it finally gets here. I think I'll have them install the Renntech with the factory tune still in play, so I can drive it that way for a bit before I swap it to the Renntech tune. I paid $2100 for it when it was on sale. Final thought, I didn't to ask about E85 mix with it like I have on my CTR. Not sure that Renntech would be able to account for it. Should have asked, but oh well! Cooler intake charge and more torque would have been really beneficial with the added boost that the M139 is going to see.
Next update will be when the car finally arrives!

Car arrived at VPC on 3/8/22. Still waiting for it to be shipped to the dealer. They are anticipating me taking delivery by the end of the month. We'll see!

The harness is on the car. I just got the car back from the ppf and window tinting. Going to break it in (171 of 1,000) and drive it for a bit before I put the box on it. I would guess May. Same with the Eventuri intake. I will post once I do it. I might even have the car dynoed before and after to see what the differences is between stock and Renntech.

The car ran 12.2's without the tune. I raced it with the Renntech and it dropped to 11.90's. Lots of money for 2 to 3 tenths of a second. Not sure what the Eurocharged tune does in terms of times, it would be interesting to compare. I sold the car back in March of this year and it is in Wisconsin now I believe. My Ariel Atom 4 finally came in, so time to play with that now.
