Replacing brake discs and pads
Anyone had to get new discs and pads for the big red brakes? Wondering how much this is going to cost me and if there's another option than OEM.

On PelicanParts I see brake rotors from Zimmerman. The fronts are about US$50 cheaper per rotor and the rear rotors are $60 each. They have brake pads from Pagid which are like half the price of OEM for the fronts and rear pads from ATE that are 30% cheaper.

just getting ready. Brakes, especially big Brembos, are the job I never take to the dealer. They just inflate those prices. Just rolled over 10000 miles and tires and definitely coming due. I may have employed a few of the techniques from the COTA track day a bit too much 😆

Probably not. The calipers are made to fit a certain circumference which would obviously increase with bigger discs. But you have the AMG dynamics package, we already have massive 14.2 inch rotors up front; How much bigger do you want to go? For comparison a McLaren 600 LT has 15 inch discs so ours are already up there.

Yeah, I’ve been looking everywhere for a kit but can’t find anything. I might keep these and do steel braided lines.
