why is this in the coupe section when this car is a sedan?

The same reason why the CLS is in the coupe section. This is technically a coupe, but with four doors.

Even Mercedes-Benz's chassis code (that it begins with a "C") indicates that it is a coupe.

I've been a member of this site for a bit. I'm also excited about this model. It might be my second MB, used to have a W202 C280. I do like the body styling, but the interior looks decent.

Calling it a coupe doesn't make it so. This falls into the Mercedes "happy horsesh*t" current line of thinking.

As usual, MB misses out on a perfect platform for a true manny. Interesting looking car, decent size for those of us who hate how every platform grows every generation, and really nice interior. Just can't get past the slushbox, well that and I'm sure the rear seat would be small kiddies only. Maybe the B and SLA classes will make more logical sense when they're released for the US market.

i read september for the 250 and 350, and february or march for the amg.

I think it will be sooner. MB has been rolling out AMG versions of new models almost immediately after the release of the standard model. I don't think it will be any different here.

and how does that prove that the cla 45 is coming sooner? i dont get it.

no clue why, lol.

but if the powertrain is already in the A45, it shows that it's ready to go. the CLA was derived from the A and the fact that the AMG version of the car that it's based off of is out, is a good sign that almost all the development has been completed.

the rumors are that it will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show (which is the end of March - April). if it's there then, then it shouldn't be too long before it is available for order.

the C204 was unveiled in February of 2011. I placed my order for the car in April of 2011 and that was a real order, where I spec'd out everything I wanted. the car was not available for release until Sept., but I already had my spot since April. I think it will be the same with the CLA45 AMG, but instead of April, I think the orders will open in May.
