Wheel downsizing with sport brakes?

My parts manager says with the Sport Brake you need 18" rims.
I looked at the wheel, and sure enough the brake comes to within 4 mm of the rim inside diameter, so, no, you can't minus size for winter. Biggest brakes I've ever seen.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, jastleymb is correct. I tried to fit a 17" on there and it had even less space between the brake caliper and the wheel barrel. With 18" OEM wheels is it already tight between the caliper and barrel, at 17" is nearly rubbing.

hey, i think you got A250, correct? if you are in Canada, my question is, when you start your car in cold, cold temperature. have you experience some noise?

Yes, I just noticed it this week with temperatures of -14C (+7F). Seems to last 1 or 2 minutes.

ok, i just had my car checked at dealer, they said it's high pressurize fuel pump make that sound, just on top of engine. they said it's normal, nothing to worry about. but for me, this sound is not right. so i'm keep my car inside, and start the car at 10-15C, room temp
