Also tried first time public charging station and it worked very well too, it gave 5,5kW.

Made also short video of it using Type2 adapter:

A250e plugin hybrid gives quite low consumption figures, today drove 175km (109miles) with 0,0l/100km (0,0mpg) gasoline, electric 16,5kWh/100km.

MB A250e plugin hybrid consumption, 0,0l/100km, 16,5kWh/100km.

Charging at home using 1-phase schuko takes about 7hours (mercedes portable charger gives only 8A, 1,7kW rate). Public charging with 7,3kW takes about 2hours 0-100% full.

Acceleration is quite ok in full electric mode, it’s not a rocket, but enough for daily electric driving.

Just recorded 0-100kmh (0-62mph) using Full Electric mode. You can even hear electric motor and gear changes I haven’t been using gasoline engine at all, so far all driving full 100% electric, so dont’ know yet about this 8-speed DCT if gasoline engine is used.

Here is the video of Full Electric acceleration:

This looks very good and promising for only Electric Mode. Best in city
Can I have request to You to record petrol engine with electric acceleration ? Im asking because many reviewrs didnt like this 1.33 engine noise, wonder if it is still in A250e noisy
This above 175km that You drove was used 72% of battery, right? ( i can see 28% left on right bottom and 16 km left )
7hs to full charge is not so long and enough. The best is that You can drive more than 150km on EM and rest on petrol...wonder for how long can You drive on petrol on motorway driving legally

Let’s see, I may do it, you are not the first one to ask petrol engine + electric acceleration video

That 175km full electric trip required 2 public charging station visits, both 7,3kW charge rate. When started on the morning, car was in 100% full charge.
Navigation helped a lot to estimate available electric kilometers compared to distance to next public charging point. Both stops showed only 2kms electric left, so went quite close
This car really has potential for daily electric driving, you can get 60-70 electric kms quite easily.

I haven’t yet tried towing how it affects to electric kms.

60-70 is not a lot to be honest but to be fair, it got petrol engine . This EM is just ideal for city cruising .
Wonder how much does it recharge when driving on petrol and on normal roads outside city

Did that test, many viewers requested it, so here it comes, acceleration using petrol engine and electric = Sport+Electric -mode:

Tried also MB A250e voice assistant and it knows a lot of more than just navigation. It seems to understand even non-native English speaking person pretty well.

Viewers asked to test acceleration full electric with 100% battery charge. There is indeed a performace improvement if its full or 12% charge left (13,9s).

Here is the test run with 100% full battery charge, 0-100kmh in 12,5s:

Now tried more powerfull 22kW charger, A250e can charge with it’s max 7,4kW rate which is much more faster than schuko portable charger.

Somebody asked how pre-Airconditioning / Heating works if car is plugged-off.
Created video how-to-set-up pre-heating using MercedesMe mobile app, there was -5,5c outside on the early morning for this test and cabin was warm +19c.

Created A250e Exterior video including engine compartment, fuel tank door opening, charging door. Fuel tank door takes about 5secs to open because there is pressure valve and driver needs to wait pressure balance.

How is the acceleration in all petrol mode. I know its the same 1.3 litre engine as some of the normal a class, but wanted to see how it coped with the extra weight?

It’s faster in petrol mode, I got 0-100kmh 6,4s, ESP Off in Sport mode even battery was completely empty (1%, 0km electric range):

How is that possible? A regular a200 1.3 litre amg line (the same engine) does 0-100 kmh in 8 seconds? So if you are only in petrol mode in the hybrid which has significantly more weight then it will be slower than that. I think your video is showing the acceleration of hybrid plus electric. Could you take a look please?

Yes, A250e will keep always 1-2% charge and will be still able to use electric boost even electric range is 0km and electric mode cannot be selected in driving menu. This is visible ex. when leaving stop lights, car can be driven some ten meters pure electric even range is 0km and electric mode is disabled in the menu.
